OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

In the immediate future the club has three choices and Galvin has none

The club can do nothing and watch him walk out the door in 2.5 seasons
The club can upgrade his current deal and hope to change his mind over the next couple of seasons with probably less than 50% chance of pulling it off

The club can broker a deal with another club for a player or multiple players in a exchange deal.

Personally I would opt for no1, we need to send a loud message that we don’t just roll over to this stuff any more
All the clubs choices have so far turned into our present situation..... maybe we have to roll over, to our Ego.

Great podcast, I love listening to it.
Its hard who to believe when it comes to truth and transparency, I like Chammas, he gives it to Gus on a regular basis and doesn't really care who likes him and who doesn't, he seems honest, especially when he said he is usually tough on Moses. Paul Crawley and Dave Riccio were speaking along similar lines of what Chammas said on 360 this week. I don't really know much about player agents but I was very surprised when a mate of mine involved at Newtown said to me this week, not to believe everything that is said regarding Moses and also that there was a reason why so many players are with him, I couldn't believe how many players he actually has. I started thinking that there is always two sides to a story and him having that many players is because he does the right thing by his players which is actually his job. I just wish our club benefited from it in a positive way.
There are always 3 sides to a story. More than 2.

Wow what a great attitude this guy has, I hope we don’t kill him.
You would hope 3 players from the Penrith system, Luai, Turuva and Api, might help with setting standards and expecting to win every time they take the field. Maybe Galvin will be a Ben Hunt (not rhyming slang... although...) and will get on the back of the exposure to higher quality players and want to stick around.

He does do the right thing by the players at one level. He gets them into better deals and out of deals they no longer like. It's the gutter tactics he uses to engineer these outcomes that has a stench about it. Telling players to kick stones at training, tank during games, feign injury, undermining of coaching and admin staff, mental health card, etc. There is a right way and wrong way to get things done. His players don't care about that I guesss. Cue the standard NRL player response to these situations..."I leave that stuff to my manager. I just play footy". The person who represents you is you for all intents and purposes. If your agent is unethical and/or underhand in their dealings, that is a reflection on you if you allow it to happen. Can you imagine Gordon Tallis allowing an agent to represent him like that?

Ben hunt has extended apparently as well

Feels like this has backfired spectacularly on Galvin and his team from a PR perspective. Just about every fair minded commentator and a bunch of high profile ex players have come out on the record in condemning his approach and attitude. Does it matter to him? He's 18 - I can;t imagine having guys like MG, The Eighth, Matty Johns, Brad Fittler, etc. telling you publicly to harden up and pull your head in is a good feeling.

I hope this current backlash from ex players like MG, Johns boys,Tallis and Anasta actually hits home with Galvin and his family. Although I think Moses will be advising them to keep low for a week and it all will blow away, as there will be another drama to force this one out of the media.

The other thing, when someone cops a barrage for doing something, it can make them more determined to continue even if it is the wrong thing to do
The next request will be on “compassionate grounds” I suspect. #Moses101

Yep. After all his moaning about wanting out, he has all but signed an extension to the end of 2026, at which point he will be 48 and probably still QLDs best player. Perhaps behind DCE who will be 63 and being pushed around Lang Park on a wheelchair firing off 40/20s for fun.
Winning is the fountain of youth.

If he annoys you - then you really have deep issues - its not like he is taking your money away - asking for money... I mean this is a forum.. you both are pretty good and we can learn from both of you....
I don’t have deep issues but thanks for your concern?!? Have a look at his last ten posts they are all mega negative. I know our club isn’t going great, but like most I come on here to look for some positives occasionally.

There are plenty here. You seem to look for negativity and over look positivity... cause there is a lot of love on this forum.

I know what you’re saying, but things in the NRL blow over very quickly and there is usually a scandal blows up to deflect the punters attention. Also outside the Weststigers nobody really would get to upset, people focus on their own teams and their issues. Do you think Teddy or Moses are scared from their departure from the Tigers. It will be just fish and chip wrapping in a few days
