TEAM LIST Round 15 vs. Titans

Pumped to see so many get their debuts.

By next season they will have had 10 or so games and another off season.

So proud, Wishing them a cracker of a game.

Yeah, season was gone awhile ago. If we can't recruit enough 1st grade talent for next year and need to rely on our juniors, let's get then ready.

A lot of mixed emotions of nerves will be setting in

I was looking through our team list, and it is abundantly clear that lack of depth/experience is what will kill us this season. The Titans aren't exactly setting the world on fire, but the difference in NRL experience for the 2 squads playing today is huge.

WT Backs/Halves - 642
GC Backs/Halves - 683

WT Forwards - 201
GC Forwards - 373

WT Interchange - 3
GC Interchange - 389

WT Total games played - 846
GC Total games played - 1445

The Titans are fielding far from a 1st choice team, yet have almost twice the level of experience (when games played is the metric used) than we do. We are getting a couple of good players in Luai and Turuva next year, but I feel that unless we are able to free up and fill some roster spots with some solid first graders with some experience behind them, 2025 won't be much of an improvement on this year.

I'm generally one to look at the glass half full, but the difference in experience was staring me right in the face. I hope the guys can aim up today, but I hope that we can get some experience through the door, and soon even more.

There use to be a Deer farm in the area 30 odd years ago, and when old mate pulled the pin, he pulled the pin on the gate and let the remaining stock run free. They quietly culled em about every 5years or so, but they keep reproducing and all of a sudden there’s bloody dinner looking back at you, eye to eye, they get big. They love to eat Hydrangeas apparently.
