NRL 360

It’s not common but they do.

The roosters will let the cheese go

Penrith offloaded Lewis to sharks when he was still a rep player.
Roosters are not comparable. Cheese is a trouble maker off field.
Penrith copped shit about that move.
Did they go early or weren’t renewed?

I had to look the sharks one up. Was contracted to end of 2014, granted early releass to sharks for 2013. Was still NSW and Aus rep. I can remember it was controversial. Also remembered he would have been handy for tigers 🤣. Forgot it was cleary who took the captaincy off him.

Rugby league recruitment guru Scott Fulton has slammed suggestions he is responsible for the playing roster mess at Wests Tigers.

“I did not sign one player that (Benji) Marshall didn’t agree to,” Fulton said, hitting back at NRL 360 host Braith Anasta and other critics of his work as Wests Tigers recruitment manager.

Fulton was sacked as the club’s head of recruitment when Shane Richardson replaced Justin Pascoe as chief executive.

Fulton has since been blamed for paying too much money for the likes of half Jayden Sullivan and the Fainu brothers, Samuela and Sione.

“I’ll tell you exactly how it worked,” Fulton said.

“We had four people on a recruitment and retention committee. Danny Stapleton was chair, there was me, Benji and Pascoe.

“Not once did we try to overrule Marshall. He met with Bud Sullivan, chatted to him on the phone.

“The same with the Fainu brothers — Marshall wanted both of them.”

Fulton admits he raised Josh Schuster’s name as a potential recruit, despite his struggles at Manly.

“Marshall wasn’t interested so I dropped off,” Fulton said.

“We could have got him for a lot cheaper than he was on at Manly, but once Marshall said no, that was it.”

Fulton said the Tigers coach would often go off and sign players on his own.

“He brought Soloman Alaimalo over from New Zealand and didn’t even tell me,” Fulton said.

“He did the Justin Olam and Aiden Sezer deals.

“He extended Charlie Staines, Alex Twal and Alex Seyfarth on his own.

“That’s the way he wanted to handle things.”

Fulton says the recent publicity around the Wests Tigers recruitment is damaging to his prospects of getting another job.

“To suggest that I left the club in a bad way is wrong,” he said. “How is it my fault that Lachlan Galvin and Stefano Utoikamanu want out.

“I did the job to the best of my ability while I was there but at the end of the day the final decisions on signing players were not mine.” (DT)

I'm sure the club are happy to let bygones be bygones and let this all rest.

The NRL media are not doing their job properly if they can't slot in a WTs story every other week. Must bore the fans of other clubs to tears, and suggests that they must think that we have a hell of a lot of fans to counter the lack of interest from others.

I agree.
Imagine being a supporter of Penrith, Melbourne etc and all you keep hearing about is drama from the competitions worst club instead of good stories about your own.

Buzz making a mountain out of a mole hill again, Braith bought up Fulton on 360 and went in on him. Buzz went into bat for Fulton surprise surprise, no one has mentioned Fulton publicly at the club since he was let go afaik.
As someone else mentioned he probably had more pre written about us losing 10 straight but had to delete it the old piss head.
I can see them now talking about how bad GC were, not that we were actually there in the fight till the end with a bunch of kids, they are grubs Buzz is the king of them.

A fired-up Shane Richardson has taken aim at the NRL's broadcast partner, Fox Sports, claiming the network's coverage of Wests Tigers is riddled with "lies and innuendo".

Speaking at a members' function prior to Saturday's 18-10 win over Gold Coast at Leichhardt Oval, the Tigers chief executive went on the offensive.

In a five-minute address, the Tigers boss hinted that teenaged five-eighth Lachlan Galvin was being manipulated to get out of the club by his manager.

But he saved his most pointed criticism for Fox Sports' flagship NRL360 program and its sister newspapers for their coverage of the Tigers.

"Nobody is going to knock us off course because of nine losses or because of b******t in the paper," Richardson said.

"Or the b******t on 360, nothing makes a difference to the way we think in planning for this club to be great again.

"When you get 360 deciding how to run your club, or 360 deciding how you recruit or 360 or the (Daily) Telegraph deciding how your club goes ... that's why we've won two wooden spoons (in a row)."
Richardson savaged NRL360 for criticising Danny Stapleton, a Tigers director who chairs the club's recruitment committee.
