Barry O'Farrell $10M Blunder??

Wait until the LNP gets in and rips the guts out of the state so the miners don't have to pay their share.
Wait? The previous Fed Libs did that when they gave away our gas for sweet fa and didn't make any provision for supplies the people they are supposed to represent need. A lot of our current issues stem from the policies of the Libs over successive governments - little to no wage rises/ lack of investment in social housing/ privatisation - to name just a few.

Political sh*t fight in 3, 2, 1.

The only thing politics-related we can all agree on is that Mal Meninga was the best ex-rugby league politician ever, ahead of Graham Annesley, Tim Mander and the brick with eyes.

Good old tucker Mr negative strikes again.
Im asking an honest question you sulking old fool.
I dont live in Sydney.
If you cant understand a simple request for information, ask someone to help you before proving once again what mental midget you are.
Maybe ask your nurse at tea time?

It's actually one of the most highly used sporting grounds in Sydney. Unlike venues like Penrith Stadium and Shark Park, it hosts regular soccer and rugby union matches and has served as a training facility for both during major events.
It will also be hosting more female football matches.

This may be a silly question so apologies if it is…
Why are all these governments dedicating $40million combined to upgrade an oval that the Wests Tigers NRL team barely use? It seems a big allotment for juniors and amateur sporting users?
My guess is politics re. Vlandys. I think he leveraged the GF for the upgrade . I know NSW gov is super wary of losing the GF to the Super Bowl type strategy ie. Every state bids every year for the GF.
It’s a prettt important ground in Sydney though . Geography and the way other sports quietly use it would be surprising .

It was a simple question from a non local/someone interstate

I dont see the negativity in the question

on BO'F...no biggie
Yea , Tucker and I can go at it at times , but seriously that was uncalled for . He’s kind of right , on the surface .
The real question ?
Why was money pumped into brookvale and Panthers before LO, even WIN stadium . Neither of those grounds can really justify the amount of money pumped into them over LO.

Thanks, this makes more sense.

Those were all blatant cases of pork-barrelling by the Berejiklian/Perrottet and Morrison Govts to either LNP heartland seats or marginals with incumbent members (most notably Stuart Ayres at Penrith).

@Tucker is right that Leichhardt does not sit it a marginal electorate (even with the ever-changing electoral boundaries) - and has therefore been neglected.

V'landys directly lobbied the three tiers of Government for funding - with the good fortune of simultaneously having Labor in Government (and holding the electorate) both federally and in NSW (and a Labor sympathetic Council) - with the real fear being that it would ultimately need to be closed to even community/school sport if the urgent infrastructural work was not undertaken.

So it was a rare moment when all the forces aligned to provide combined funding that is much needed - rather than the political expediency that drove the aforementioned funding decisions.

It’s not the greatest from BOF, having a dig at someone for not putting in, when they are actually in for 10mil, but we have bigger issues to worry about. I’m m glad he’s not running the football team salary cap though.
