OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

[old_man_tiger]

He has lost US far more games than he has won due to his sub-standard outright lousy and low effort defence!!

You fail to see defence as a critical component of the game - regardless of shades of grey!

I actually agree that his defence is problematic in every position he's played. Please read the whole post.

I'm also allowed to enjoy yesterday, stop carrying on.

[TCL]

Great comeback. Wish him all the best in the coming weeks.

[hodgo]

I find it I threshing he is coping so much in defence. In some ways he did what he was supposed to in trusting the inside man and holding out on his centre. Granted his rush in was diabolical

[BAGNF05]

To"a shouldn't play for us again, but he is contracted next year like Naden and they are shopping Naden, they should be shopping To'a

You need reserve grade centres and coverage for injuries, that’s both their status.

Did anyone else hear that his speed has improved since the 3rd surgery? I thought there was a comment around that post-match.

If so, that's incredible. He's mentioned that the knee feels much better this time around.

[AmericanHistoryX]

I didn't need to hear it.. I saw it...

[Bigscreentv]

HI stats show he is NOT a match-winner!

In fact this was his first win in any grade since 30/7/2022 - having played in 12 successive losses since then!

Not when he’s in the spine - as a centre off of Galvin and Laui I think it will be different

Yes, he said post match that he posted a new PB in rehab.

If I had Galvin, Sam Fainu and AD coming at me as a centre I’m packing brownies. Big humans. I hope that’s our edge moving forward.

[jadtiger]

Never been a fan of Doueihi, even before he got to Tigers. He really surprised me with his pace, fitness and effort.

If he can improve his defence he could become an asset in the centers

I seem to recall AD being pretty hot and cold pre-knee injuries for us. The challenge for him is to keep his level and involvement up near where it was yesterday. He was all over the park.

And was that PB the try he scored when he ran to the horizon with a fleet of infantry in toe? When he set his sails towards the sun.

I suppose you also thought he had a shocker yesterday? 🤣

If Brooks could do it so can he

If he can improve his defence he could become an asset in the centers

If he puts the same effort into it as he does his attack he could be a weapon given how big and strong he is. Yesterday he just turned around and jogged on when he missed in defence - funny how Weekes couldn't catch him with ball in hand but he couldn't even be bothered when it was in defence of our line. It is clearly an attitude thing with him - just couldn't be fire trucked at the time. He ran for 80 meters when there was a bit of glory involved.

Imagine how good he could be if he put in for 80 minutes on both sides of the pill!

Agreed, and Galvin only going to get harder to handle as he gets stronger.

Did Adam run over your dog or something?

Not sure re the speed but in an interview he mentioned he is a lot happier with the way the whole process went. The two surgeries, the recovery after his second one he felt there were muscles and tendons that didn’t feel right as a result.

Yea, that is one of the factors worrying me.

Look he has had a good game back. I am glad he is playing less like he has a critical injury.

This can't be a Once off, if Doueihi is to stay AT CENTER>

ill back Snidest0 on this one.
What the entire team has a good game. Adam D comes back, an ok has a good game.
... first win since 2022!

Now if AD backs this up with some solid games going forward. Sure, ill admit I am wrong and we can keep him.

But were talking a player who has been "the next big thing" for several years. Kinda never really getting there. ...

If AD can own Center, sure he can stay. But we better see that performance week in week out!
