Its just a shame that once again Wests Tigers do all the heavy lifting with a rookie until they get close to peak years, then some other club reaps the benefits.
Offer him 2 years, that will give him enough time to assess how much on the up we are…if we are still a rabble of a club, then he can to to a top club in 2027…still at his peak..
That's my point exactly. I think the rule only does one thing and that is stopping players from openly signing contracts multiple years out from the end of their current deals THEN agitating for release.I would argue that any type of discussion about a future contract potentially incentivises the player to break an existing contract, therefore if that is the the description in the current CBA (that you cannot incentivise or encourage a contract to be broken) then it's pointless unpoliceable and unenforceable unless ZERO contact is permitted from other clubs.
Yes, this hall of famer guy who has been there and done that, playing alonside the best in the business and seeing first hand how the game is constructed, at all levels and in roles as a player, ambassador and professional commentator is wrong. He’s wrong though. You’d much rather run the ball up at a tired defensive line and when your team is dominant.
Pretty sure Hazelton signed with the Sharks again.had a look on Tackle Zero and both Leo Thompson Thomas Hazelton are available for 2025 I would be going for at least one if I were the tigers if stef leaves
Shoe salesman?moral of the story … don’t allow stupid clauses into the contract that allows the player to walk away mid term…hope Pascoe remembers that in his next gig …
He didn’t play that position for starters. And he’s a bit of a dribbler (engages mouth prior to brain).Yes, this hall of famer guy who has been there and done that, playing alonside the best in the business and seeing first hand how the game is constructed, at all levels and in roles as a player, ambassador and professional commentator is wrong.
Thought his speciality was hats.Shoe salesman?
That could be an issue for Easts or Souths if they are buying him, that could play out wellMate, he will go into market, Richo will watch this closely
F###k him then….its clear he wants out, but isn’t man enough to say it…he still said no
Rubbish - Luai negotiated after November 2023 when he was free to do so - he had merely advised the club that he would test the market therefore Penrith automatically had the 10-day cooling off period to submit a final counter-offer!That’s not true. There is still a 10 day right of reply window for the players current club. Remember Panthers still had a 10 day window to try and retain Jarome despite him telling them he is going to look at other clubs weeks before that.
They effectively negotiated a best and final with him but even still they had one last chance to retain him once it was mentioned he signed with us.
Yep cause if the dollars both south’s and chooks will be probably $ 600 to 650 , we at $ 800 unless his manager has already got some info on a better deal , time will tell I suppose , end next week we will know , IPap only took a few days to head to the riffThat could be an issue for Easts or Souths if they are buying him, that could play out well
100 percent, think we will be a completely diffrent prospect in another 2 years, just if he's willing to stay another 2 years for potential success or go somewhere sucessfull now.I see his point about Api being very crafty, but I think it’s over simplifying it. Footy is so much more enjoyable when you’re winning. Gordy knows that.
Got a new set of teeth thrown in acording to Mr Ed..He will probably go to Rorters for about $600.000 for chance to win a Grand Final, like Teddy did a few years back.
