I agree it’s a shite clause but he would only be leaving next year anyway! And have u seen Moses and browns clauses? They are much strategically worse, what every two years they can get out. Again the media go on and on about the stef contract, but nothing about the eels contracts. Which again are worse!!

I am on team Stef and want him to stay. Having said that I hope we have set a date on him notifying us of his decision. I think the club has been more than reasonable with him and the longer this goes on the less chance of us signing a replacement. It seems as though his manager is clearing his clients out of the Tigers so I am not confident of retaining him. Is there any other players he manages at the club. Already Aj, Ice gone to Panthers.

I think we need to Remember Stephano has not done a thing wrong. He hasn’t asked for a release. He’s current contract is up and he is negotiating a new 1 it’s in his best interest to see what the best deal he can get is

People need to lay off him once again he hasn’t done anything wrong

Don’t believe everything you read in the media it’s a bunch of crap

Reading between the lines, it would appear the million dollar offers are not flowing in. Storm are interested but I guess it would be around or below our offer and would mean he would have to move away from family.
I think he might hang around for another year and than go through this process again.

It’s a pity the contract is not a two way clause, where we could say goodbye now if you don’t take our offer. Bottom line is he is entitled to source the best deal for his future and you can’t blame him for that.

Just a metre eater at this stage, great one but that’s about it. Generally u show your skill set throughout your career.

Cruises in our system, for $800,000 per year. ie $30,000 per game! On the paddock or not?

He has all the physical tools to be an elite prop - Size, speed, balance, good hands etc. He is good defensively and does what is required for a first grade prop forward.

For me, it’s that leadership component that needs development. The “JWH alpha” attitude (without the rubbish) or JFH intimidation factor that is missing or not consistent. If he can adopt the position of our forward leader that regularly sets the standard and inspires the pack, especially the kids, then the sky is the limit for him.

I think Richo might have played his cards very well here...

Stefo thinks he is in high demand and clubs are dropping like flies which I think Richo knew would happen.
He wants to stay in Sydney and only the lower clubs are interested as the top clubs already have their top line front rowers.
The media about Eels sounds like his manager is trying to pump his client up.

What I find funny is he wants to win now and he is considering the Eels who are currently BELOW us (might only be for another 8 hours) but they have a better roster and still on bottom..

We have like 11 players made their Debut this year and we have had a truck load of injuries / Suspensions, yet we are ahead of Eels.

I hope Stefo looks at this like Laui has and want to build a team like Panthers did and enjoy the success coming. It takes hard work but we have some very exciting times ahead.
