Stefano Utoikamanu #241

Klemmer was an overs recruit.

We were desperate and it showed.

Stefano is on the verge of being one of the greatest props to play at the Tigers.

He needs to have better games than the last 2 weeks

Yes no doubt it was a poor signing in hindsight

I am bemused though that Klemmer gets about 5 percent of the criticism Stef gets

He does for us exactly what he was doing at the Knights.
He gets in the way, slows play down and takes all momentum out of our attack.
He has no shoulders and the body of a yoga guru.
No hindsight was required.

Tell Stef that his yearly contract value drops by 25k for every bog performance until he re-signs/extends.
Agree with this.
His numbers leave alot to be desired.
He could fit into a storm system but they'd be paying him closer to 500k a season. Dragons, raiders and Parramatta honestly won't do anything for his career.
It's either the tigers or storm if I'm him.

Come on he went to England to land players , there has been forwards moving around clubs everywhere, and what have we got a big O
Well who was tying up $800K a year while we gave him time to consider our offer? So, it would appear only since Stef has been allowed to explore his options that we both require another forward and are in a position to make a play for one.

Ya'll are dreaming if you think us pulling the offer will do anything other than just lose him - CB said it himself, any club would love to have him.

Except ours I guess, we'll probably be even better without him aye!
And Dragons and Raiders. Apparently at one point two of his biggest “suitors”

Even if he stays we need at lease 2 new forwards, or what is the point in buying luai, because if the forwards can’t hold there own , nothing will change

I think the Knights chipping in made it seem more worthwhile but the length of deal was the big error based on hindsight.

the story was that they chipped in for $400k last year only… Tigers paying the full freight now ….better than nothing… but still a Sheens special

It was first two years subsidised and next year is a mutual option. Tigers won’t extend and it makes sense if he can get a longer deal to move on. Probably a part payout from Tigers. Benji has to drop him this week however Twal is still out so it’s a problem.

Ok, let me help the balance, bloody well and truly past it. The only prop I know who skips to the line, no toughness left just pedestrian runs time after time.
He and Twal as bad as each other. Should both be punted imo !!
There you go.

I believe Newcastle put up funds around half for the first 2 years , then we had a mutual agreement , so Klemmer has not been a bad deal until now , we may have to cover his total of around $ 800 k for next year only
he was purchased to help thats about it , not a world winner just a name who has history of being tough prop ,

I don’t care about the money I’m more interested in the contribution. And there is little to none, can’t believe he’s an ex Test forward coz he’s no longer tough but gone soft. (Woods Mk2).

Newcastle paid 1/2 his freight , so he was about a $ 400 k prop for us , that’s not a bad deal , he has always had a crack and made mtrs , you need to have another look at his stats , he is great defender and always has a crack, better than a lot others who get no mention of being pretty poor
