Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He's terrible hey...

Maybe super league if he can get a passport.
Honestly, he hasn't done bad at the Bunnies.

They have problems. but from the few times I have seen Taane step onto the field for them, he has crossed the line.
Still errors in his game. Would walk into our backline, but our backline sucks.

But we are a development club , really we can’t get anywhere near the top of the comp and any decent kids coming through will piss off away from this mess.
we need to skip the development crap for about 3 years and buy a team and get in the 8 that should be the number one thing to do , then it won’t be hard to keep the good kids as they will stay at a competitive club

Stefano can go.

Peter Hola (Raiders)
Alec Tuitavake (Dragons)
Jack Williams (Sharks)
Sione Fainu (Extension)

All available for 2025.
Few others currently on contract for 2025 I'd be talking to, also

Bunty Afoa (Nz)
Tuku Hau Tapuha (Sharks)
Leo Thompson (Newcastle)

All somewhat realistic.

time to review the talent in the squad and keep the best of the best of the young and old even.
Then go to market for first graders. Toilers, on your list above only Jack Williams and Bunty Afoa makes the cut.
We need to look at guys with 100 plus games that aren’t making starting sides. I know that sounds like Klemmer but moreso guys that are mid tier in cost.
We can’t break our cap on anyone other than a superstar.

Thompson not going anywhere -
Didn’t they just sign his brother?
Reckon he’s in for a decent upgrade, that’s why they’re moving saifiti

Steph, not worth a pinch of s - - t.
Lobb, not the answer on the wing.
And Bateman, painful to watch
He runs across the field like Nufo, difference though is Nufo occasionally used to break through for a good run or a try,
I Forget the last time Bateman broke through the line.

Yeah cause last time we done that we didn’t lose any kids did we

Teddy, woods, Moses, paps, foxx all gone

Very difficult to answer for myself mate. Some variables to play out in the coming weeks in regards to guys like Lobb, Aliomolo and Toa. Also Olam's fitness.

That's provided we don't sign anyone of note.

I think both Lobb and Aliomolo have upside. Aliomolo was improving at a good rate before his injury. He gave me the feeling that he was physically underdone, so with a strong off season he could be a genuinely good winger.

Lobb will be very interesting to watch over the next few weeks. He has incredible hands, big body and quicker then we all thought. He made a terrible read in defence in his debut, so he will need to improve that. He also needs to improve his aggression in his carries. If he does that he could easily hold down a wing spot next year giving us good go forwards on our sets and a great aerial threat.

If I was absolutely forced to pick a back 5 right now I'd go

1.Bula
2.Aliomolo
3.Doueihi
4.Turuva
5.Lobb

But that could change in a day
Aliomolo is 28, slow and gets dominated. Not much to see there
