Benji needs an older head

Benji has to swallow his pride, dim his ego and Richo has to have the balls. Nothing against Benji. Nothing against Richo. In fact for Benji this is a black mark or certainly will become one if Richo and him don't sit down and look to bring an older head with NRL coaching experience to help guide Benji. Othewise if things keep going the way they are it certainly will be a stain in his overall career. For example - who in their right mind would pick Utoikamanu in the top 13 next game. Why is he on a pedestal which gives him bargaining power whereas if he was dropped or on the bench it will nullify both his legend and bargaining power.

Absolutely. It wouldn't hurt. What do we have to lose????? Michael Cheika. There are others out there. But we're just the fans. We have no idea

Benji needs to move aside due to the poor decision made by this club to give him the top job. And this is not a slap at Benji , this is on the club for doing such a stupid thing , Sheens could have been replaced by other coaches with Benji keeping the assistants job for 2 or 3 years or so , Now Benji looks like a crap coach and the results are there to see , absolutely no improvement in the NRL side and also our reserve grade team , we are poor very poor in both

I agree. Benji says all the right things IMO. In fact when he talks I have more faith in him then whenever any previous coach has spoken. I reckon Benji knows his stuff, but knowing your stuff isn't enough. You need the experience in learning how to implement it, how to manage different players, how to deal with a disgruntled player, how come down hard and when to come down hard. All this comes with time and experience. Benji has an aura about him as a player, but not as a coach. We need a coach that walks into a room and players feel his aura. Im curious to hear a little about this Brian McDermott

It's purely and simply about cattle.
Geez. even when Ivan Cleary was here, we couldn't make the 8.
Let the roster revamp with Richo/Benji evolve and look forward to the good times.
TO, I love your work but we were really making some gains when Cleary was here, and had he stayed I have every confidence that we would have continued to grow. Under BM we are showing very little.
But that was then and this now.
Benji/ coaches ( new ), roster very average and confusion still reigns supreme, like the odd good signing plus players on the decline, coupled with multiple “home” grounds etc etc.
Imo for the best current comparison look at the Dragons. We started side by side but look what Flani has done.
We just seem to lack the cohesive focus necessary from top to bottom.

I'm with you champion @Halbrowne61, and I crave success "yesterday."

But comparing us with any other NRL team is not on equal footing.
Our past seasons of loss, disappointment and consistently poor performances are (in my opinion) the ties that currently bind us to our bottom place.
Like we all wanted, success in only these short months after the review where former admin was punted, when the pathways selections are still being culled, and our roster overhauled, and earning the respect of other teams and even the officials. - well, it can't be done overnight.

We are still to have our sponsorships revamped, 1st grade and lower grade teams "drained" and some type of unity - which we've really never had since forever.

After years of being let down, Richo is our club's best hope (not even Benji, who I really support).
So I'll ride the patience train for the time being

Sounds correct .
