Actually, we were running 13th when Tim Sheens had MacGuire sacked.
Sheens then installed a caretaker who secured our first spoon, providing no assistance.
Sheens then took over with his apprentice Benji the following year and performed attrociously, getting sacked himself with us in last place. The apprentice took over and secured our second spoon in a row.
Benji has now entered the second year of his apprenticeship and has all but secured our third spoon in succession.
Meanwhile, Madge has won the Pacific Championships as the rank underdog and is a good shout to win this years SOO series.
So no answer of substance?sorry ..didn’t realise you were a Madge fanboy ..didn’t mean to upset you …
Let’s face it, they’ve all sucked. I doubt there is a coach on earth who could turn this mob around, maybe Flanagan. In recent years Cleary was the closest and we all know how that ended.Sucked more than the two bumbling clowns who took over from him?
I love shifting goalposts….
So no answer of substance?
FTR I was not a Madge fanboy, and wasn’t opposed to removing him, however the transition and subsequent work done by those who replaced him has resulted in a likely 3 spoons on the trot.
It seems foolish to lump him with the blame.
100%It's the Halfback
It's the Coach
It's the New / Old Coach
It's the CEO and the Chair
You'd reckon more here might start to get the picture with the joint?
If it wasn't for once in a lifetime talent, this joint would have been a Basket Case for 25 Seasons
- Instead of just 22

They had once in a lifetime talent and won a premiership… but they could still only make three semi final campaigns… what a waste … should have won it in 2010
Isn't that what I just said?
Without that talent - there wouldn't be a Grand final win and 2010 would be the least of our problems.
Yes and the operative word there is minimumWe still need tp recruit a minimum of one quality outside back and at least two quality forwards to be any chance of climbing the ladder in 2025.
We are already controlled by private interests aren’t we?100%
It’s what you get when you force marry the worst club in the competition with one that was pretty bad as well.
Shit + shit does not equal chocolate ice cream.
This club needs to be sold to private ownership.
The hubris from admin after 05 sunk any chances of continued success.yeah … I’m agreeing with you …. thought that was obvious ..
It’s a joke they could only make 3 semi finals with that talented team … which was capable of winning a grand final
It took him 3 years to finally convince a decent player to sign, he got two! He must have been rubbing his hands together with delight and then chopped!!!Coz, after all, it was Madge who brought API and Ice to the club !
Yes the extension of the worst club in the comp I spoke of.We are already controlled by private interests aren’t we?
No I gave him my member number, but still no answer.Any updates on the search by Richo?

We were starting a dynasty remember? With Bryce and Fulton and Halatau and Heighington etc….great squaddies but not headline superstars.
Is Api as good as prime Farah - Nono …not superstars … but still competent players …and had the likes of Farah, Hodgson, Richards and later Gareth Ellis who were rep level players …
Benji was in and out of the team with injuries and Scott Prince moving on quickly didn’t help …but they still should have had more than three semi final appearances ….
They lost proper good players in Prince and Laffranchi and failed to replace them with quality of an equal standard.no …not superstars … but still competent players …and had the likes of Farah, Hodgson, Richards and later Gareth Ellis who were rep level players …
