For sure:
Just like the Dogs did with Tevita Pengai Jnr - publicly “not interested” but in the background ‘Bee Sting Head’ was showing all the cunning of a Fox to cement the deal!

Just as well that Gould did or we would have been inflicted with TPJ's half hearted efforts,he was a terrible signing

If he didn’t want to leave Sydney why meet Melbourne twice , Storm will offer him 3 years $ 550/600 k per season , Tigers 5 years $ 800 k , throw in dogs 3 years $;650 that’s where I reckon it’s at
Finns , Drags , Raiders all dropped off just like his season

He won’t be taking much less money to move interstate …

Some media now saying this was the first meeting with the Storm …contradicting themselves not for the first time…

it looks like he will resign with the tigers.
no source to quote.
just based on the state of play and the clubs he's met.
if he's giving the tigers a decision by Wednesday, the tigers are obviously that decision.
above someone mentioned the dogs, but they haven't been in discussions, so it would be incredibly strange for him to be leaving to go to a club he hasn't spoken to yet.
Thats a shame

I would prefer Stef to stay. He has lots of potential. I think it is unlikely Benji will be the coach for the entirety of Stef’s 5 year deal (should he accept it). So there is a decent chance we will get a real coach in the next couple of years who can get more out of him. Lord knows somehow we have to get more out of him.

While your opinion is valid, im sick to death of hearing this 'potential' bullshit line with players. Luke Brooks is nearly 40 and all we ever heard was about his potential. Stef isnt 16, hes being paid now in current year to be a starting prop in a pro league team. He has it now or he never will. He doesnt have it and has NEVER shown any signs of 'having it'. The fraud has lived off being the biggest kid in under 10s his whole life up to this point. Piss him off.

I don't think that's true.. he leads the league for props in tackle breaks which shows physically he's NRL standard. I think the biggest grub in all of this is his manager because he was playing good footy till all this contract business started & his manager told him he'll get offers of 1mill +. Whatever Stef decides I think once his contract situation gets sorted his performances will improve.

Watch a game instead of reading stats.

I can prove anything by statistics except the truth.

The guy is also 110kilos and plays like Jane. Id also take Jane over Steph at this point.

Anyone actually know what the deal is with Olam.

If he is on $600k then a dumb deal and we have been screwed big time, but if he is on $400k then I can probably live with that for a while in the hope that he comes good at some stage.
Apparently he has been told by Doctors he needs an operation on the problem.

But he doesn't want to have it done, so 2 more years like this.

He is a professional athlete. His body is his tools of the trade. This stance on an operation that will improve his effectiveness should be non negotiable.
Is it a religious thing?

If Stef does stay, I hope he sheds all his concerns and goes like a man possessed.

His role model should be Leinu, running off the back fence and putting a real dent in the opposition tacklers, time after time after time !

to be fair ..Leniu isn’t easily replicated … guy is a machine …. And going to get better… of course he is at the Roosters for ever …👎

Apparently it will or should be all sorted out by tomorrow arvo, if he has decided to head to the storm , our season is over so drop him and give another guy prop a go for the next few weeks , the tigers crowds I don’t think will be to kind to him
