Stefano Utoikamanu #241

Apparently it will or should be all sorted out by tomorrow arvo, if he has decided to head to the storm , our season is over so drop him and give another guy prop a go for the next few weeks , the tigers crowds I don’t think will be to kind to him
Michael Caryianis (spelling?) said on SEN this morning he didn’t think it would be done tomorrow as the team is flying to Auckland tomorrow.

Surely if the medical experts agree that the best solution to his injury is to have surgery, and he refuses to have the procedure then he would be braking his contract.
It might be a way we can medically retire him.
This is only his 1st year with us can’t see him improving physically over the remainder of his contract

Just as well that Gould did or we would have been inflicted with TPJ's half hearted efforts,he was a terrible signing
Stefano is exactly the same as TPJ..glimpses of british glory..but 70 minutes of laziness and indifference.Total defensive liability
Im unfussed either way whether he stays or goes..our current coaching staff hasn't the skill set to extract the full potential out of him, whereas Bellyache will..only if hes convinced the heart is there
At $800k,its lose lose for WTs

Maybe he wants to help the team , and will have it at seasons end

Wrong , the Balmain tigers had at least 5-6 Pom’s and all were great players , u just got to pick the right ones

it looks like he will resign with the tigers.
no source to quote.
just based on the state of play and the clubs he's met.
if he's giving the tigers a decision by Wednesday, the tigers are obviously that decision.
above someone mentioned the dogs, but they haven't been in discussions, so it would be incredibly strange for him to be leaving to go to a club he hasn't spoken to yet.
What happens in the Bee Hive says in the Bee Hive.

Apparently he has been told by Doctors he needs an operation on the problem.

But he doesn't want to have it done, so 2 more years like this.

I hope Stefs contract has plenty of performance bench marks that have to be met before he gets the $800k PA. ie get out clauses in favour of WT, for under performances. He has shown he can mentally switch off if things don't go his way.

He wasn't one of ours, he wasn't English, but Brian Carney for the Knights was one of the highly professional wingers from the ESL. He wasn't a giant at 5ft 10inch but they are tough from Ireland. He is an example that you don't have to be a giant to succeed on the wing in the NRL.

can’t see him staying.

I agree with everyone that he’s inconsistent but if he stayed it would help with keeping galvin etc… if he leaves it makes keeping players harder UNLESS Luai is like our savior lol
Good test for Richo & Benji to show our recruitment as a club is not what it once was. One of those blokes has form signing the likes of Greg Inglis.
