Darby Lancaster debuted for wallabies on the weekend as a 21 year old. We were never going to sign him but looks like he’s going to get locked up there for a while.

Do you have any info on who we might be looking at to replace the likes of Stefano, Bateman and quite possibly Klemmer ?

Great deal for Stefano if true. Big money, great club. I love the tigers but I'd seriously think about going as well if Melbourne were offering more money and what feels like almost guaranteed success and personal improvement.

I find it interesting that average players like Luciano and Stefano are able to get such massive contracts.

That’s my point, let’s just loan Api & a few others for the rest of the year too & sign every best player that requests a release this off season…

Sorry I don’t get your point ….where are you going to loan them to for the rest of this year ? It would have to be Superlegue as you can’t do it for another NRL club past July 1

It’s not that complex… if the NRL was going to give salary cap compensation this late in the year to teams that loan players to Super League all teams that couldn’t qualify for the 8 would take advantage & do it.

People were suggesting earlier the club would get $200k compensation to front load a contract & open up space for a signing in 2025- that would essentially be a loophole to cheat the cap & all bottom teams would take advantage

Because they're not average players.

This club is average.

They could …but the player still has to agree to move over there..and unlike Bateman …99 percent would rather stay here ..
 
Can’t wait to hear the fantastic replacements we have lined up for departures of our players…… we always have suitable replacements ready and never allow our players to just leave without a plan… 🤦🏻‍♂️
