He is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic! We can’t just chug a beer when the back veranda is alight.
I’m glad Benji has almost realised the end of the season is nigh and he wants to use the next slaughter somewhat constructively.

Convincing a man to walk away from a lucrative contract when he knows he isn’t being treated well or even as some others are, will be hard work.Honestly I think they are just assessing cost v benefit. He is older than Latu (alternative back up half), costs the same and probably has roughly the same upside.
If no salary cap, sure persist with him. I also believe he will end up a regular first grader.
Yet, we have deficiencies at prop, second row, lock, centre, winger… so I’m assuming they just decided they need to make a call and then try to free up cash to fix these gaps.
It beggars belief @Sco77y .Are some of the comments serious here? Surprise that Bateman, Klemmer and Doueihi were dropped. But after the last game everyone was calling for them to be dropped. Thought there would be some more elation than this
That’s right and as we prepare to take that final plunge, we’ve gotta find the deck chairs (players) that are going to float the longest. He is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!
Haven’t forgotten. We were playing a shite bunnies side and scored a few tries via jungle ball. We don’t play with any application… trend isn’t up but sure maybe we’re where we always are.You must of forgotten when the roosters dicked us by 70. Storm same.
Last week we lead after 60 mins with a young side.
It’s a slow burn but the trend is up.
I seem to recall players like Lockyer, Minichiello and Dylan Edwards making some poor errors as young men.I’ve never coached a professional sport so not sure if my next statement applies.
In a workplace it is important that people feel safe. People need to feel that as long as their intent is right, the effort is right, then they will get some grace if they make mistakes. We all make them. Everyone has a bad day, bad project, bad customer meeting whatever…
Luke had a shocker. Drop him now, because of one game and you just create fear.
We are a team of learners, we were a team of has beens. Subtle but important difference.Haven’t forgotten. We were playing a shite bunnies side and scored a few tries via jungle ball. We don’t play with any application… trend isn’t up but sure maybe we’re where we always are.
Lol “team of learners” no one is smart enough to learn anything on the squad. We are a team of learners, we were a team of has beens. Subtle but important difference.
Having some experienced teachers may help?Lol “team of learners” no one is smart enough to learn anything on the squad.
Klemmer, Api, Bateman, Papali’i, Sezer, Olam on field.Having some experienced teachers may help?
So do we now stop dropping players out of fear for their “development” as opposed to punishing them for not performing to FG standard? I get dropping the ball from a good hit but dropping the ball from a pass with no pressure and allowing the opposition to pick it up and run? Makes no sense to meI’ve never coached a professional sport so not sure if my next statement applies.

Does it make a difference this year? We are going to run last again. So do we now stop dropping players out of fear for their “development” as opposed to punishing them for not performing to FG standard? Yeah it does matter because you uphold a standard that players need to adhere to don’t you? Or is it more of a case of we don’t want to hurt the kids feelings because he could leave at any time to another clubDoes it make a difference this year? We are going to run last again.
Do you play the older mistake prone player you are hoping to offload or the younger player you have high hopes for that has been making mistakes.
Hopefully the 2nd example doesn’t become the first with time
