No idea if Benji will make it as a sucessfull coach, I just like the fact that now we are finally backing the coach and showing players who don't like it where the door is.
I can see the reason for potential words between these two, Benji has been looking for example from senior players to the rest off the team, discipline exhibited by John Bateman has simply not been up to standard for some time now. Also explains why JB was not at the presser.
With Galvin screaming he can’t wait to get out of the change rooms!

All we need to do is change the lock on the door when Bateman goes.
No, no , no Galvin is why to light to go into the forwards , he is doing great at 5/8 , we need his running style from 5/8 .
I said this on here before , put sezer in as lock and have the two kids as the halves, sezer is a solid defender , and the lock roll might make him run the ball more

These selections e plain a few things:
1) why Bateman wasn’t in the presser after the South’s loss… Benji ripped into him in the dressing room after the game and Bateman spat the dummy and refused to attend the presser.
2) Douhei attends the presser after the South’s game and Benji rips into the “Senior” players ….
3) Klem only playing 24 minutes
good on Benji sending a clear message to the so called Senior players…now replace them

So Bateman fronts Benji in front of players about his form basically, and about being dropped to NSW Cup, been saying it all year, not worth the money and goodbye to rubbish, stay in Pommie land

Totally agree, bar Api our senior players have been piss poor. The young blokes are making them look silly and that shouldn't be their job, the senior players should be setting the standard but they haven't. Say what you will about Benji but he has never been scared to speak his mind, Bateman has been pathetic this year and should be told not to come back.

If what is reported is true, then Bateman doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The senior players on big money are letting this club down, not the young players.

Benji is learning his trade and this is a good sign of his development. He is making the call on senior players not performing & setting a new expectation for the team. I like it. He needed to do it & has stepped up.
Doing this hard stuff now will make us better in 12-18mths provided we get the right cattle in to replace them.

Yes, I think Benji has been underwhelming up until now. Let’s hope the next phase is full of astute decisions and purchases.

Maybe Benji set himself some time limits for the year ,play 20 rounds then let fly , pin point where he feels the team has failed the season and give it to them straight , then swap out the duds over the last 6 rounds , If he and Bateman have had a spat Johnny won’t be back , club would be just saying he be back to keep it in house , If We loose Friday Benji must make more changes like
