Besides Api, you could argue none of them make the cut for any other team. I’m not the type of fan who jumps off the coach after less than 1 year. If next year Benji continues to struggle then yes, call for his head but until then I will not judge him to harshly for this year.

Look I agree with what @tigermate is saying but what you’ve said here is what I stated last night.
For better or worse, we are stuck with him as removing yet another head coach will really put us backwards in the player market and seal our fate as the most ridiculed club around. It may even cause NRL intervention.

What’s the point of being a fan if you’re not trying to see the good? At that point you’re just a miserable person looking to find the bad in anything in everything. Can’t really even call yourself a fan by definition “: a person who likes and admires someone (such as a famous person) or something (such as a sport or a sports team) in a very enthusiastic way.” People on this forum acting like they’re the only one who’ve experienced the past decade of mediocrity, guess what? So have the so-called “delusional” other supporters yet we somehow always look for the good.

Just to add, you can't keep going on about 5 year plans and scrap them after 1 or 2. I truly believe you need to give him the full term. For better or worse. The club needs some integrity amongst the NRL and keeping your word is top of the list. What player or coach is going to join us if we continue backing out of agreed plans?

I think we are removing the underperformers and buying astutely, albeit with not much on the market.

Some decent additions will change results while the young guys get up to standard. We really have no depth this year and that's a large part of the problem.

Agree. It's honestly just not even remotely realistic to consider it. We have some great talent in our spine for next year, hopefully he can get the team on an upward trajectory. We simply can't afford for Benji to not work.

FFS Steph is half the reason this last 2 months have been as bad . He has been dominated by every other pack and has been tackling like a new age sex therapist

At the moment if everyone takes up their options we have zero free spots in our top 30 for next year so no one can attract anyone till we create some room

He doesnt and never wanted to be here the remaining rounds that are left he'll probably put in to make it look better on him. Then next season the obligatory backhand swipe will come about the training and culture (probably cant argue with that upon reflection)
 
The use of nrl quality player may be a lose term here but
At best we have 12-15 nrl quality players in our squad of 30
When we lose Bateman, ice and Steph and gain turuva and Jerome we will still only have 12- 15 nrl quality players in 2025
