Also Matthew Lodge could be a cheap option for Prop? I haven't seen him play much this year so I have nfi about his form.

Yeh!Kade 7 appreciate the updates
Benji will literally be given till round 10 next year. i was told he has to round 6 and the trials next season will be included as well, The faceless men behind the scenes where not happy from trials and our early victories did not mask there disappoints in what they saw on and off the field.
If Hopgood was to become available, he would be a terrific signing. It was more apt to compare us to the Bulldogs two years ago; presently, we're probably more comparable to the Eels. The Bulldogs have released nearly their entire team and have had a full salary cap to utilise, unlike us.
They’ve strategically hired a former Penrith assistant coach and several premiership-winning players who have served under him to create a solid foundation. These investments took most of their cap space and as a result, they’ve been forced to recruit other players to fill out their roster. However, the crux of their successful rebuild isn’t just replicating the Panthers blueprint but also benefiting from significant financial backing from Arthur Laundy IMO.
One size doesn’t fit all.
Benji has his own vision and different limitations. Until we can land one or two more high calibre players (or until our juniors mature), we should focus on acquiring players who are relentless and drive standards and team morale - akin to how Corey Thompson was for us. I l don’t mind some of the suggestions being thrown around, such as Hopgood or Horsburgh as while they’re not superstars they seem to fit this mould.
The board has no right to pressure Benji yet. Those arse clowns are responsible for him being there.a few little dramas in the last few weeks
to elaborate
- the board is applying pressure around marshall, richo supports him, internally they want to see progression with our playing group and believe they havent seen enough this year
- the player market is grim, the competition is in a very transitional phase where those big name
players are getting older and those younger stars of tommorow have already be signed
- i think big nelson ends up here next year, no actual mail on this though
The faceless men/woman will take the recommendation from Richo.Kade 7 appreciate the updates

Why the hell wasnt Benji involved in the decision?one more thing
richo didnt tell benji about bateman until bateman was a no show at training
🫡 the initial crack in the wall
I dont think sending Benji or anyone else to the gallows is the correct move currently. The faceless men/woman will take the recommendation from Richo.
No one should be hitting the panic button yet because we don't know what is going on behind the scenes. But we do need a win on the recruitment / retention front very soon and Richo will know this.
Pole will be high on the extension priority list to give us some good news as will any news on Large & Makasini's deals moving forward. If we don't hear anything on those over the next month, I will be getting nervous.
Let's all see what happens first before we start sending Benji to the gallows.
Probably too close too it (given the clash they had). Why the hell wasnt Benji involved in the decision?
Richo has really got to explain this further.
What's the context here @kade7 ... what didn't Richo tell Benji?one more thing

Are you alluding to Pole here?he told the club last week like i posted
the only change is it could be to the dogs, the ten day signing cooling off period ends potentially wednesday
my one and only accurate leak, paints a very bleak picture for players coming off contract
we wont be the only club with money and Benji will literally be given till round 10 next year

None of this surprises me. Richo would not be doing his job if he was not starting to worry about Benji's lack of results. Might see Sam yet.one more thing

So we've lost Tupou, Simpkin, Papalii, Bateman and Utoikamanu so far this year...Say what you will about this group, they are tough to replace.
