Appreciate what Kade has to report, but don't read TOOOOOOO much into it & assume things.

Bleak player market/off contract doesn't mean we are likely to lose players.

There's possibly very good reason for the Bateman thing.

10 rounds to 'turn things around' could be anything.

And asking Kade for more details is like saying 'your inside source isn't telling me enough gossip'. I'm sure if he had it to share, he would.

Ease up on him already!

I don’t assume anything I read here … 95 percent BS … and the other 5 percent is people taking educated guesses…the blind squirrel and all that

I thought we only had an interim board.

Biggest problem with the club is that regardless of who the public face of the club is, it is the same faceless monkeys pulling the strings in the background.

Imagine continuing to hold a job when your last achievement was sending your previous clubs into oblivion

Toby Sexton was another young star at the Titans who also starred as a schoolboy alongside Tom Dearden. Even while in and out of the Titans NRL team he always showed glimpses of his talent with a very good kicking game and game management skills. Another who quite a few posters on here called for the Wests Tigers to sign when we were in desperate need of a controlling halfback.
Kurt Mann was mainly playing off the bench at the Knights, but was showing he was one of the rare players who could play 13 as a genuine link man, but also big enoug, fast enough and tough enough to run the ball well when required and also tackle with venom,
Connor Tracey could not get a regular NRL spot with the Sharks, but was regularly starring at NSW Cup level and whenever he got a rare NRL start. He’s another that many posters on her were wanting Wests Tigers to sign.
To think all of these players who are proving to be high quality NRL players and an integral part of the Bulldogs success are all unlikely to be contracted to any more than a maximum of 250k per season.
However with the Bulldogs talking up their chances of signing Stefano, you would hope Richo is the phone to all the managers of the players listed above making them well aware their contract values are way below their true value and a club like Wests Tigers could happily pay them a lot more.

The way Gus works, Bulldogs are likely to be talking up Stefano to make the Tigers to pay MAXIMUM salary, whilst hoping we are keen to offload Klemmer paying half his wage desperate for a culture change.
That’s how Gus works.
If he is serious about Stefano he isn’t offering much north of 600k

...and what is the extent of this clash? A senior player and his coach getting testy with each other in the changerooms after a poor loss, with emotions still high?
Is that really a sackable offence? We really cant judge either way as no information has been released.
All we know is we have lost an international backrower 2 years early and the club tried to bury the press release during a game.

No one is buying what we are selling - especially the managers.We will have trouble attracting/retaining any player who has an option elsewhere. I really can not see how we improve under the current system. The perception of the club is too far ingrained.
Stef probably isn't worth it monetary wise but we needed him to buy in.

but yeah the accurate part of the mail i received was stefano told the club last week

the 900k was my assumption

pole is everychance to resign but i have 0 mail on it

richo acted in the best interest of the club with batemen, he is everychance to stay in the uk next year
 
Many suspected appointing Benji as coach (even assistant coach) was a mistake. It’s becoming clearer and clearer that it was a mistake. We are best to just rip the band aid off and get rid of him when we can i.e. this offseason. We need a real coach. With real assistants. The sooner we can do this the better. Remember how much trouble Bennet had attracting talent to the Dolphins and how much trouble Flanagan had/is having attracting talent to the Dragons. These are premiership winning coaches and we are way behind those clubs in terms of appeal.

Navren Willet is another who will probably see a debut sometime this year or next. When he played in the trials this year he handled the physicality pretty well, I’d say probably still a bit away but watching the NSW cup he used his height (6”7) greatly to his advantage. Onto someone who deserves a debut now Tim Johanssenn. This bloke has been great in NSW cup the whole year and in the game against the warriors scored the game winning try. I’d like to repeat that he’s been doing it this whole year so it’s not just a one off. Drop Stef for this week to focus on contract talks etc and chuck this bloke in. I hope we can sign him cause it’d be a major oversight to let him go. He is fit, fast and strong something we lack aside from Pole.

What is his height, weight, age etc.
And what is his preferred or best position.
 
How many actual roster spots do we have open for next year now? We seem to continually release / lose players and struggle to replace them because of roster spots
