CEO - Shane Richardson

The interview with Richo was a breath of fresh air after years of "we're doing great".

It actually prompted me to call a mate who was a not so amazing player when Richo was CEO at Penrith 20 or so years ago where they went from wooden spooners to premiership in two years. He told me:

- Richo was very quick to get rid of players he thought either had no skill or a bad attitude (some were guys that the previous coach really rated)
- At the same time, he worked hard to keep players he knew he wanted to keep
- He brought in a few trustworthy journeymen with good attitudes
- He completely cleaned out the wooden spoon coaching staff

Although we're having a shocker of a season, it sounds like Richo is doing a lot of the same things that have worked for him before.
We had to go through this phase to weed out the guys who don’t want to be there. I reckon if Klemmer goes we’ve pretty much lost our starting forward pack except Api

Wash your mouth out.

I forbid him to follow any other team, but he doesn't really follow NRL anyway, he follows soccer. He likes watching NRL for the spectacle only. It does not help at all that Tigers stink.
@jirskyr My, now, two grown up sons, were lucky to attend the 2005 GF as their only positive memory of being a WT supporter...One good thing is the WT has steeled them over the years how to deal with disappointments in life....

Only positive memory? Let them join the forum. So many highlights here!! We are a band of brothers.

You are doing the right thing, young people need to be guided down the right path.

When your son is in his 60's and wise enough to decide for himself, Wests Tigers may have won a competition by then and I'm sure that will assist him in making the right decision.

Well I just read some of Richos broadcast , he say we got $2 million to spend , but he thinks we only need 3 players , I think he is 3 short , if that’s all they think then get ready for another spoon next year

The gentleman obviously enjoys a challenge and comes across well.
He has a vision and supporters have to place their faith in him.
I have faith in Richo, he'll easily fix the Wests Tigers then we'll all be enjoying, but first Richo has to fix up the dumb contracts from our previous management, seriously who would put in a contract if you don't play SOO you can go to market when your club is bottom of the table, how do people get job's in any business adding rubbish like that in a contract

I've already posted this in the BTR thread but thought it should go in here too.
Thanks a million Lauren 👍 for posting this absolutely brilliant interview with Richo.
You've really lifted me out of the dark place I fall into occasionally.
And I reckon it will do the same for many other WESTS Tigers members (and fans hahaha).
We definitely have something positive to look forward to over the next few seasons as we go from strength to strength in building our team.

Yeah, thanks @Lauren you are a strong forumer.

Richo is a very strong communicator and we learned a lot of new things.

“Crocodile roll” is a nice analogy.

There’s too much in the interview to deconstruct.

He ripped into Lee and Co like no tomorrow!

He likes Benjis honesty with players, but I’m going to ask him, if they not listening, where do we go?

I’m going to have to tell the dog he’s one of the 12. He will be expecting to do a gf lap of honour with the trophy in his mouth!
