"Chinese Taipei" is an ambiguous term, screaming a need for independent sovereignty in a world that suffers inequity and injustice. Sadly, champion @AmericanHistoryX, this is a situation where a solution is all the more difficult because of a lack of compromise, and it mirrors force over people's choice. But that is just my opinion.
 
No. Chinese Taipei is Taiwan. Its black n white. No ambiguity there. On a political stage yes. But this is the Olympics. Where sport should highlight and exude what the Politicians cannot stand for. World Peace. And yes it is sad. And if it is sad at least respect the sovereignty of TAIWAN.

Yeah it’s fun lingo. I snowboarded religiously for a few years hooked up with a group of younger boarders, pros on the snow, one pro skateboarder, a paratrooper, and a chef who was on the Iron Chef, (best tomato soup ever), they took me under their wing, I was older, but I had the high-times, a mohawke and I was loose as when it came to partying.
Until I broke my back pulling a 360 staley over a table top at blue cow. I had so much air I slipped a little roast beef in, but I had drifted diagonally across the table top and landed on the hard corner/edge of the down run.
I lost my edge after that and couldn’t jump a speed hump let alone a 2 metre table top.
They were fun kids to hang with.

Each to his own .I think basketball is the one I don't want as the winner is 100% USA not even 99% .Impossible they lose
Golf the winner could come from a number of countries . The crowds said the golf exceeded expectations massively .crowds bigger than the Masters.
You could see it meant more to the players to win this than their million dollar tournaments
Guess it depends if you like golf .I do the skill levels at the top are mind boggling !
