Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Will Penisini apparently has a player option for next year and is on the open market the following year in 2026.

If we have the war chest that Richo claims which I don’t doubt, we should really be going hard for Penisini to help with our lack of class in the backline.

Parra are on the verge of crumbling as soon as Moses leaves. Which as I’ve said from earlier in the year is inevitable that he’s gone - seems like the media are starting to jump on it now.

he’d be INCREDIBLE at right centre. stupidly talented youngster and would improve us instantly.

with Makasini, Turuva, Laulili’i and Large they might decide to go in a different direction tho and decide to nurture the kids we’ve got. I guess we’ll see.

And, it’s likely that he comes with the same attitude as Luai. They are coming TO turn it around.
I can see ur passion, but if u think a 1/2 back and a small winger are going to turn our club around , well maybe it’s time to see a doctor . NOT gave a crack at u , I also want and hope that happens but unless the club sign 3-4 big forwards who are workers and not so called stars , we ain’t going anywhere

That's great news but am i the Only one thinking it would be nice for the club to announce this?

They carry on about Members been the most important part but don't update much.
Might be a bit of an uproar that we're re-signing a NSW Cup player and making a big deal about it.

FWIW, I think he showed a lot in his first game and I can see him making it as regular first grader.

Cmon, he'd be the first outside back picked. He'd be our starting fullback without a shadow of a doubt. Bula to centre/wing.

Sua is best mates with Pole, if there's any chance he leaves we should be all over it, though he only recently re-signed with the Mexicans
I agree. Bula could make a good centre and eventually get his confidence back. Fa.arlago does not have any worries about attacking a ball under pressure and could also cover numerous other positions. He would bring what we desperately lack. Enthusiasm.

Liam Knight ? Has he joined us or that hope
Nope likely just putting 1+1 together and getting 3. Willie Mason indicated the Tigers have signed a dogs player. Realistically I can see it being Knight or JAC imo neither help a great deal. Skelton would be nice but cant see the dogs letting him go.

I realise that none of the names are going to inspire & also, what would I know?

But Liam Knight, Peter Hola, Hayze Perham, Lipoi Hopoi, Hohepa Puru, Harrison Hassett, Kitione Kautoga & Dean Ieremia are all having really good KOE seasons.

on Hassett, this screams WT buying the dip.

former Aus Schoolboys captain and NSW U19s rep who was wanted by a stack of clubs only two years ago. hasn’t exactly set the world alight in NSW Cup but has decent numbers on both sides of the ball and would benefit from a change of scenery and a clear path to first grade.

obviously we need quality and depth on the edges, but these are the kinds if opportunistic buys I hope and expect of us these next few years as we try to rebuild the roster.

I know what you're saying. Its smart to fill squad numbers 20-30 with the best performing Cup players who are not getting a look in with their club.

Our problem is that we have 2 or 3 places left. We have lost Papalii, Bateman and Stefano who despite what people think are good first grade players. If we replace those 2 or 3 squad positions with players you have mentioned, we go backwards despite the addition of Luai.

Depends what you are looking to add to the squad I imagine.
No doubt we need a prop, 2nd rower and and Centre/winger.

I like Reimis Smith. Think he is a safe pair of hands defensively with a bit of strike in attack. Although Skelton would be ideal with his yardage game.

Sounds like Hassett will be the replacement in the 2nd row.

I think we need a different profile of prop. At the moment it looks like the rotation next year might be Klemmer, Twal, Pole and Miller/Johansen. Id like a forward with some aggression and impact to compliment that rotation. I think we should be keeping that spot open - waiting for Richos apple. Holding out for NAS
