Andrew Johns came up with a good idea to help lower tier clubs; he called it a “compensation fee” which must be payed when purchasing a local junior from said club. It’s to help compensate the club who has spent time and money developing these juniors rather than develop then lose with no gain.

For example if Storm come and say “we want Onitoni” they would then on top of the contract they have to pay for would then have an additional fee which we get which could be $100,000. Just helps clubs pick of the lower tier clubs.

I like the thought behind it. It could be improved by that $100,000 being included in the salary cap of the club poaching the junior.

Even paps himself said he’s been a disappointment.

Given his potential, he’s spent most of his time with us on holiday or making sure his socks were pulled up.

We don’t want him anywhere near this club, infecting the fragile minds of our talented youth.

Joe left the club due to conflicts with Marshall. He won't be coming back.
