Faataape continues to improve each game. He has played well both in attack, where he looks dangerous every time he is given the ball and in defence. He seems to be a good fit with the team. Staines has also played well, plenty of pace and running the ball back. He has taken a couple of difficult bombs. Love his work.

I remember both of the instances you were talking about, but do you also remember Benji in the 2010 finals against St George? Those calls have been 50 / 50 for decades.

NRL changed the rule so you have to show intent to kick and I believe Ponga did show intent to kick before it was knocked on.

Ponga knocked the ball on into the top his thigh before it dropped to his boot.
Knock on every day… except today of course.

As long as the ball is kicked before it hits the ground (or a defender) it's play on........ unfortunately.
Just the same shit luck WT seem to have, the bounce of the ball never seems to go out way......or vary rarely at most.
However you make your own luck sometimes, and Newcastle have made their own luck. Galvin thought that ball was going out, if he persues that ball he either tackles that winger or the ball goes out.
Never give up the chase is the lesson to be learnt there.
