Isn't Johnny Morris supposed to be some dark horse master mind coach?
How come his impact isn't being questioned/noticed?

Maybe that's a good thing.Wasn't injured.
Played long minutes in cup.
Played well too.
Nah, he's injured...Maybe that's a good thing.
Was Sione Fainu playing in cup? If so how'd he play.
If Benji was the priority and the tigers had a "good enough" squad to finish 9th every year... then yeah sure....
But this clubs priority should be Lachlan Galvin.
The strategy for Benji isn't a "you're gone" but "bring someone in to finish your apprenticeship under". He probably knows its better for him in the long run, he is a switched on bloke who will take the knock and move forward... hopefully become one of the clubs greatest coaches one day...
If we risk it all on Benji and sacrifice the improvement of Galvin, then how could we blame young Lachy if he starts rethinking his commitment here.. From all reports, he doesn't want to go anywhere... So I'd build the club around him.
There aren't many clubs with the best 18 and 19 year old haves in the game, at the same NRL club!
A very wise rugby league mind, who I cannot disclose... said to me,
"West's Tigers, good for years to come."
Interpret that, how you will.
I know nothing to get excited about. That's a really exciting list
It's not really stepping down if you don't win any games. It's going back to serve his apprenticeship so he can hone in on his craft, so he can come back and do the job properly with some more experience under his belt.Benji‘s ego would never allow him to step down to an assistant coaching role IMO

it’s being demoted … the biggest name the club has ever had who has had nothing but success in his playing career …It's not really stepping down if you don't win any games. Sacking the kindergarten coach would be diabolical. What coach would come now knowing that benji theoretically has only had one year
We need to stick solid imo until at least mid season next year
I see green shoots
In all honesty what coach would expect to win with some of the teams we’ve listed this year
I also don’t see any clear standoutsSacking the kindergarten coach would be diabolical.
well they wouldn’t be wrong considering both clubs have fallen off the last 10 years 😂was that the same person that said Wests Tigers would be the Manchester United of the NRL?
In all honesty what coach would expect to lose every week? What coach would come now knowing that benji theoretically has only had one year

somebody who’s a realist with a shit rosterIn all honesty what coach would expect to lose every week?
Yep. Some of our teenagers and other young guys are getting an education they would not be getting in reserve grade or Flegg elsewhere. Short term pain.somebody who’s a realist with a shit roster
Going from winning a title every second season to not winning one in 10 years is a pretty big fall off haha i mean nowadays they’re rarely considered title challengersPoor Man U … falling to second a couple of times and even as low as 5th over the past decade … how do their fans manage 😢
