Journalists

As I’ve said many times, the journalists creed is “ never let the truth get in the way of a good story “. These guys have no shame !!
Am I allowed to say, that journos ( or at least the ones who are always picking on us) are like "crows picking out the eyes of a half dead animal" Disgraceful.

Agree with the post from Jirskyr.

The whole landscape of journalism has shifted, with many media outlets adopting a more sensationalist and tabloid-like approach. It's largely influenced by the rise of social media and the need for immediate, attention-grabbing content/headlines.

Now that some sports journalists have a voice on shows like NRL360, their discourse sometimes mirrors that of the casual and opinionated tone found on social media platforms. Most no longer uphold the same integrity, credibility and professionalism of traditional journalism.

Rothfield is a gossip columnist.
Replace the "NRL focus" for a teenage girl mag and he literally fits right in.

The ridicule of the Wests Tigers goes beyond NRL “Journalism”.. it surprises me how many numpties on other forums and social media seemingly enjoy putting the boot in on the easy target …

In the old days you would have a bit of sympathy for the teams doing it tough … now it’s just a never ending pile on to join in on the kicking …

it happens in other sports too … the masses prefer to support the champion teams and not the underdog .. just another way society is changing for the worse …
Yeah it’s sad. I started working at the new Oran Park shopping centre 2 months ago and I’ve seen more Panthers, Roosters and Sharks jerseys than Tigers in that time.

Our jersies are good for inside the house.. not outside... in saying that... if the jersies are worn for warmth under the other garments.. I dont see a problem... otherwise.. a person wearing a jersey on top.. unless he is a player.. has lost their identity as an individual...

Buzz looking after his mates & finding something negative about the WT in today’s column …

SPOTTED

St George Illawarra coach Shane Flanagan spent three days in the Whitsundays to freshen up in the Dragons’ bye week. He had a board meeting on Monday, player reviews Tuesday, and then three days at Airlie Beach. Plus, he wasn’t coming off the back of nine straight losses.

SPOTTED II

It’s good news that former Wests Tigers chairman and major sponsor Lee Hagipantelis has not been lost to rugby league. In a huge boost for the Family of League charity, the Brydens Lawyers principal has agreed to come on board as a non-executive director of the organisation.

TIGERS KO’D FOR RISING GLOVEMAN

A disgruntled former Wests Tigers sponsor has jumped on board to support boxer Sam Goodman, tipped to be Australia’s next world champion.

Neil Fabry and his company FAB Industrial Logistics quit the Wests Tigers earlier this year as a major sponsor, after a disagreement with CEO Shane Richardson in which he said he was disrespected.

Fabry met Goodman when he was a guest of St George-Illawarra at a function where the boxer spoke as the special guest.

“I’ve moved on from the Wests Tigers, and I’m now sponsoring a young man I have enormous respect for,” Fabry said.

“He’s a good young Aussie guy and an up-and-comer.

“After the way I was treated at the Wests Tigers, it’s nice to be involved and deal with such a genuine young man.”

His column is utter rubbish it's quite funny. But really how does such personal bias continue to get published by News Corp?! He must have compromising photos of the Rupert Murdoch or something.

Looks like we're all aboard Allied express, seriously though Buzz is clutching at straw what a garbage article.

Buzz is just a very ordinary man
I'm sure he done his apprenticeship under chesteron and firinglos?
I'm sure they weren't that bad or journalists

The last 10 years Nrl journo's have been vindictive towards West Tigers considering one is supposed to a paid-up member their attacks on our club make most supporters just laugh, but truth be told it is a destabilizing tactic they use and it is a shame no one from the club comes out and has a real go at them over it.

The only thing Richio has ever improved at, is his hair loss.

Guys a dweeb.
He studied journalism for 4 years to have an opinion ? Good to know.... no personality having little goof

You blokes are just feeding their egos... Giving them the attention they want...

Reading stuff like "I get so angry at these so called journos...", they lap it up and the originator is confessing his foolishness.
Don't watch... Or if yiu must watch don't comment. It's what they want

I hope I see Ricchio out one night, absolute scum!
i get triggered by these muppets sometimes..

But look at our backline.

1. Bula
2. Tuarava
3 Olam
4. TBC
5. Skelton
6. Galvin
7. Luai

We've had no consistency with our backline all season..
If we keep this squad on the park, then we are a real threat in attack.... I'm over looking the forward shortage at the moment and can only assume we will tie one or two down before pre-season.

There's a real good chance that next year we could pull a rabbit out of the hat.
