Not trying to compare anyoneLOL come off it. Are trying to compare these two players? seriously?
He’s neither and he’s been OTT to me too, but he’s correct about Gal playing centre, but his halves are wrong.#Post deleted#
Ok- so is it Doueihi or Galvin at fault for Gagai's break last weekend? Because EVERYONE is blaming Doueihi, who jammed in on his guy, and Galvin who slid behind Doueihi as Gagai broke free doesn't seem to be guilty of anything.Depends on the defensive structure but honestly abit of everyone’s fault
Wingers and centres should only really jam in if there is an overlap and the defence can’t slide
Other special occasions mean they should but overall would probably blame them for a defensive stuff up like that
Our outside backs have all had poor seasons. It is no coincidence when they are given no room to operate. Galvins only trick is hitting Fainu. The rest of them go mainly unusedNot trying to compare anyone
You said we have lost 15 with Galvin at 5/8 and used that as an argument for him not being an effective 5/8
My question is does that same logic of yours also apply when I take a player like DCE and point out his teams short comings aswell
I think AHX is rubbing off on you TS.At the end of the day .. who cares what people on
They won’t be the ones picking the team …
I do think he has probably been given a bit too much creative freedom this year, given it's his rookie year. There have been a few instances where an attacking play has broken down because he chose to take the line on instead of passing it.For the record I am not against Galvin being tried out in different positions (I think he will end up a backrower personally)
But to question if he has been a good 5/8 this year and use the terrible team around him as a reason for him not being good is silly
Are they all really that awful? Or have they not been fed effectively?Because of our awful Centres and back line?
Every time a 5/8 gets the ball their fullback should be lurking. Our outside backs have all had poor seasons. It is no coincidence when they are given no room to operate. Galvins only trick is hitting Fainu. The rest of them go mainly unused
I would disagree there. Nearly every sweep motion has Galvin & Bula on the same side of the field.Every time a 5/8 gets the ball their fullback should be lurking.
This very rarely happens, so is it coaching instructions not to happen or if not why does it very rarely happen ,
When it does happen we worry the opposition, I don’t see it happen enough.I would disagree there. Nearly every sweep motion has Galvin & Bula on the same side of the field.
Knights got a massive overlapOk- so is it Doueihi or Galvin at fault for Gagai's break last weekend? Because EVERYONE is blaming Doueihi, who jammed in on his guy, and Galvin who slid behind Doueihi as Gagai broke free doesn't seem to be guilty of anything.
No problems buddy , hop good to play second row and wishart to lock , if u get both , then u got cover in case of injuryBoth would be great, but what position are we selling to Wishart if we get Hopgood to play 13?
14 is not gunna get him to leave Storm?
Buying a good 14 is a poor decision, I think a 14 you need to develop. I reckon you buy players for the run on side. Is he good enough to hold down another run on position we need to fill? Bcoz a lot on here are saying we got enough backs.
Oh ok, so everyone else is to blame, not the kid who went straight from school to first grade? For the record I am not against Galvin being tried out in different positions (I think he will end up a backrower personally)
But to question if he has been a good 5/8 this year and use the terrible team around him as a reason for him not being good is silly
I think a 18 year old rookie who’s skipped every level of pathway & jumped straight into the NRL is going to struggle a bit with the physicality of first grade haha. If it wasn’t for him getting suspended he’d easily be winning the NRL Rookie of the year.He has run the second worst attack in the comp this year and the 7th worst attack in Wests Tigers history.
He gets lost in defence constantly, he is too weak to bring down proper men, therefore is targeted. He runs across field a lot cramping his outside men and he dies with the ball a lot as he hasnt the speed to run around most and gets caught.
His team has come last. Would things be different with someone else in 5/8? We made him sit out one game and we won it.....
Bula is a seperate headache.Every time a 5/8 gets the ball their fullback should be lurking.
This very rarely happens, so is it coaching instructions not to happen or if not why does it very rarely happen ?
Players in motion causes confusion in the opposing defence, if there is no players in motion the playmakers are sitting ducks.
They are our 2 potential diamonds.I think a lot of Heamasi’s talents are wasted on a wing if I’m honest. he’s got a beautiful pair of hands and his ballplaying is top shelf. I’d have him at left centre no doubt.
Onitoni is the interesting one. he could easily unseat Bula, Galvin or Fainu in their respective positions given his talent, but if I had to make a prediction I think he’ll come into grade at right centre.
this is all dependent on them staying, of course. Masi I heard was likely to stay but Oni was leaning towards union. that said, things seem to have cooled of late. no doubt Richardson smoothed things over.
From last place? Cool.I think a 18 year old rookie who’s skipped every level of pathway & jumped straight into the NRL is going to struggle a bit with the physicality of first grade haha. If it wasn’t for him getting suspended he’d easily be winning the NRL Rookie of the year.
