Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Mate of mine who works at Penrith HQ saying Brian To’o is far from a certainty in 2025 for the Panthers! 🔥 Couple of clubs have put feelers out but we are in the box seat because of Luai! Look out for 2025 👀
Did he say anything about RCG going back to Penrith and realising To'o for cap space?

Im backing the kid, has ticker.
He's a young To'o. He's 18. I find it crazy how people don't understand how tough it is to play first grade as an 18 year old when you just don't have the few more years of strength and conditioning. To debut at 18 and not get absolutely destroyed you have to be an absolute freak.

A good portion of our team are 21 or under and can't keep up physically - that's the major reason why our defence is bad.

A great result for next season would be if we can free up 3 top 30 spots for 3 new signings. As I have repeatedly said any guys we choose must be 100% competitors- guys who will drive standards, lead on field by their intent and hunger every week. The 3 spots have to be all top 13 NRL starters - a front rower, an edge player and a centre. We choose on character and playing attitude - no need to rush we have the whole off season.
Add 6 new guys ( these plus the three that are coming already) to the best of our current group- plus young ones with another pre season. Upgrade our coaching squad by adding some experience and support and we have a squad that can climb the ladder.

I think Bateman, Naden and Sullivan will go. Maybe Klemmer too.
Bateman doesn't offer enough and has a terrible temperment, Naden is a liability and Sullivan probably needs to go over to the UK and build his confidence if he wants to play NRL.
I like Klemmer and his experience but he's also a bit of a liability and is too slow.

Once we get Willetson, we need to get Guymer from the eels. Front row sorted. Te Kura from the broncos has also been mentioned but injury may make that doubtful.

Rahme looks on the smaller side.
Here's him next to Graham and Murray.
Comparable.

By all reports he's a hard worker and not far off a first grade start.... we will see.

I think Richo should look at Elie El Zakhem, currently at Castleford Tigers. Think he's a diamond in the rough that's at the age where it's make or break and would/could have a good crack at first grade.

Not only that he was in HMs last year and finished the remainder of the year playing school boy footy.
This year full season of SG, a handful of Flegg and cup games then into grade the week after he turned 18. That’s an effort.
