Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Rahme looks on the smaller side.
Here's him next to Graham and Murray.
Comparable.

By all reports he's a hard worker and not far off a first grade start.... we will see.

I think Richo should look at Elie El Zakhem, currently at Castleford Tigers. Think he's a diamond in the rough that's at the age where it's make or break and would/could have a good crack at first grade.

He's a young To'o. He's 18. I find it crazy how people don't understand how tough it is to play first grade as an 18 year old when you just don't have the few more years of strength and conditioning. To debut at 18 and not get absolutely destroyed you have to be an absolute freak.

A good portion of our team are 21 or under and can't keep up physically - that's the major reason why our defence is bad.
Not only that he was in HMs last year and finished the remainder of the year playing school boy footy.
This year full season of SG, a handful of Flegg and cup games then into grade the week after he turned 18. That’s an effort.

The sport doesn’t lend itself to debuting young as a forward, unless you’re a bit of a freak. We’ve seen Sam Fainu start well but fall away of late.
He will be all the better next season, BUT what’s funny we signed his little brother to be our champion player and I quess samual was just part of the deal , BUT he has turned out to be a diamond in another crap season

The strength of the KOE squad will help strengthen the 1st grade side. Now, if injury or form issues hit- there is an influx of depth players available so that Jonny Schoolboy isn't plucked out of the U14's to play 'because he's a natural talent'.

Players stepping into 1st grade need to earn that right. Greater squad depth should equate to greater competition to get those top squad spots- generating better effort, consistancy & competitiveness among the fringe players.

He's 10cm shorter and currently still about 10-15kgs lighter. He'll fill out but i think people underestimate how much smaller he is than other 'small' backs like turuva and To'o. Once developed he'll be Matt Utai's size. He'll need to Work on his aerial ability big time if he's to make it. It's possible, but the odds are strong stacked to against him seeing he's not overly fast or powerful.

Smaller than Murray? Means he's 6 foot, well undersized for an NRL forward. Given our current excess of small forwards like Kit and Faagutu I can't see him breaking through but a good off season and who knows

Was Willet highly rated? Haven’t heard of him before but I’m not much into the juniors
From what I have seen of him on the T.V. sports news in the Group 3 area he was a very exciting player and being so young he should have had plenty of potential for growth.
I'm really 🙁 he's gone to Manly, but their talent scouts obviously saw something in him that we apparently didn't need.
