He is slow , well over weight, misses to many tackles , no leg speed , should I go on

Do you wonder why you hold that view but two of the best coaches in RL have a different view? I believe he is a gem, sure he needs work but will be an impact prop. He will need a big off-season. Remember he also young for a prop. I am sure our coaching and fitness staff will be working hard on him.

Just having a think about what our bench looks like next year

Tallyn has to be there his form is to good for NSW cup

We need a player who can cover middle edge and centre for me this is John Bateman I’m hopefully he comes back with a better attitude

And for the rest of the bench just to big mobile middles

It's funny on Luke Brooks as the media are in love with him now and he is regarded as a superstar because he has all these other stars around him.
Before the game on Thursday Brandy was having a love feast over him and saying he will destroy us, and we will get pumped. We win and all silent again.
For a bloke who achieved everything as a player, Brandy is often clueless as a commentator.
I would argue a lot on here have a better read on the game, we just didn’t have that extra bit required to be pro footballers.

Also in the Telegraph this morning. Dave Riccio has an article on the Knights and it brings up that Leo Thompson could go to market on November 1 this year. I quote “if Thompson does take himself to the open market, watch for Penrith and Melbourne to come swinging”. If he goes to one of those to clubs it needs to be the final straw for the salary cap.
I thought I saw earlier that Thompson was able to negotiate this year.
Surely we should be having a close look at him.

Reading the telegraph this morning. There is an article of the 15 worst big money deals of all time. Wests Tigers have 5 of the 15! Adam Blair, Luke Brooks, Jayden Sullivan, Josh Reynolds and Moses Mybe. Hard to disagree.
Wow. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Brooks was not a bad deal. Reynolds, Blair and Packer were. Mbye's contract was a Bulldogs one before ours and Sullivan hasn't even finished one season?

Penrith? The club that has let Koroisau, Burton, Kikau, Crichton, Fisher-Harris, Genius, Turuva and Luai go to manage their cap? Penrith is the best possible example of a salary cap working.

We need good players not just other clubs dregs
We need to be careful and not blow our cap on external experienced players.
We have enough ‘stars’ recruited and retained internally. We need our youth to grow with experience but ultimately we don’t want to have just one year where it all comes together and fall away again. The benchmark is Penrith I.e sustainable success and that is only achieved by having the best players in your team who have time to grow and build year by year.
Need supplementary players that can help form a hard working consistent culture.

I think we continue to focus on our juniors.

Winning in 2025 will legitimise this club and make recruitment easier
Agree but we need to add a few experienced players to help win games and develop them.
IMO If we don't win games these young players start listening to their managers and leave for clubs winning... It's a fine balance but winning shuts up them negative media and help massively with morale
