It feels very inconsistent to everything Richo has been saying, and only recently.

As was pointed out- there's actually NO reference from Richo in regard to Horsburgh, only Bird.

In the end- I'm happy with both Bird & Horsburgh. I think Horsburgh is what our pack lacks, and I think he solidifies our middle. I can't see Bird playing in the forwards (much) but I think he really does improve our wide defence, one of our biggest issues. I had mentioned Isiaih Tass a few times, Bird basically is that kind of player. And if this means Doueihi & Faataape do not get walk up starts- that can only be a positive for the club. The more quality the club has, vying for starting positions, the better.

I guess the big question now is- what becomes of Bateman? If we don't move him on, I'd assume our forward purchases (1st grade signings) might be done. Bateman, Horsburgh, Seyfarth, Hunt, Klemmer...the club is starting to accumulate guys that play with an attitude & don't get bullied as much.

I wonder where all this leaves Sione Fainu. He’s been good this year with a lot of up side and could be key to keeping the other 2 brothers. I hope he stays.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't be against bringing Marty back to the club for 1 year since we are light in forwards. His experience will help out the young guys like Pole and Samuela immensely.

I think if we sign Jack bird he will be John Batemans replacement. Every time we had an injury John would cover for it.

I’m still hopeful he returns with a better attitude but I highly doubt it now

Hasn’t Richo , done what he said no one from our club would do , say who we were looking at . NOT that I don’t like it , just really hope we get the players he has mentioned, BUT we thought this year would have been a good one , so as much as I am excited with what may come are why , I will get excited if we can win 5-6 of our -

Still waiting on an update on how Pole and Galvin's re-signing are going. Media reported we were trying to sort it all over the bye week but havnt heard anything yet from the club. These two have to be a priority as well as S.Fainu, no point signing new players if the guys we need to keep in our current squad take off.

We actually can't fit in Bird and Horsburgh as is. We only have one spot atm.

A few have guessed moving Bateman on permanently is the only way we go for Bird so I would guess that is the way we free up the second spot.

From there I'm assuming Benji will do the same as he did with Seyfrath last year to Sione. Strike up a deal and wait until they clear up some space in the top 30 before they make it official and announce it.

Its real weird as Richo always states the member will know 1st and now he is making comment to media about potential signings. He must be confident

Richo is Smart, controlling the narrative in the media, Nothing new here.
