Good reason to keep him. Talks the talk. Good for the younger ones.

But he's not a centre anymore, so comparing him to centres is miselading.Have a look at all the centres currently playing NSW Cup, Qld Cup or in the UK Super League, that’s all you can get for 250k and I can tell you Doueihi on his bad days is far better than the majority of them, plus he’s a handy goal kicker if required.
As I’ve said previously it’s no secret his defence has been terrible, but IF we have the depth to ensure he plays NSW Cup if his defence remains suspect, I’d say it’s the best and only way his defence is likely to improve.
Same scenario with Charlie Staines and Starford To’a, they all need to stop missing tackles otherwise they play NSW Cup and don’t get another contract with Wests Tigers. This could not be enforced this season with a severe lack of depth.
I reckon you'd be able to get Isaiah Tass and Tom Opacic at something similar. You will not find any centres any better on 250k if you can name them ?
centre is probably the hardest position on the field to defend, not too many do it well.
We are likely to give first crack to Olam and Turuva as our centres in 2025 and nobody can honestly say they are highly confident in those 2 defending well as our centres either ?
Our only hope is a good pre season with a massive focus on defending to try and fiind 2 centres in our roster who can mostly get it right.
Which is why he has no business being in our top 30. Bird is 1000000 times better than him. Maybe Souths will take him back.We need to figure out how to win the ruck, particularly in defence. He should be nowhere near the forwards for this to happen.
Not even close, on Faataape's worst day he still gets an assist or a line break and is alright in defence, just has been stiffed when he was put on wing, and had tossers around himHe is better than Faataape who got picked every week
They're both slow players with poor defence. Sol has a go at least and is a good team player, but he's still not worthy of playing for the magpies next season. He'll never be a decent first grader. Not even close, on Faataape's worst day he still gets an assist or a line break and is alright in defence, just has been stiffed when he was put on wing, and had tossers around him
Now you're talkin! That's the kind of recruitment list I want to see.But he's not a centre anymore, so comparing him to centres is miselading.
Looking at players who played last week the following players provide far better value than him:
And that's just from 4 teams, and my somewhat limited knowledge of these teams. There's probably many more.
- Isaish Iongi
- Casey Mclean
- Jesse McLean
- Ali Leiataua
- Daine Laurie
- Mavrik Geyer
- Jacob Laban
- Preston Riki
- Chevy Stewart
- Tuku Hau Tapuha
- Billy Burns
Not many teams want a selfish player, who refuses to pass the ball or be a team player, that's slow, has a low work rate and can't defend. There are many players with more upside, even if they're less experienced. I would take every one of the players above for squad depth ahead of the AD.
I reckon you better check Souths website. Keep up to.dateI reckon you'd be able to get Isaiah Tass and Tom Opacic at something similar.
once we're done recruiting middles, which Richardson is currently doing, we need to turn our attention to fixing our back row and centre depth. it's atrocious.
What you want and reality is a stark difference. Now you're talkin! That's the kind of recruitment list I want to see.
Bugger. Why do we continue to get players at the back end of their career with a history of injuries ffs??Bird now official - club announcement
It’s near certain Richo has at least had a conversation regarding Tass and he’d be a good recruit at the right price, but even when he was going great with Souths a season or two back, I still remember him coming up with a bad defensive miss every now and then.I reckon you'd be able to get Isaiah Tass and Tom Opacic at something similar.

If we want a 4peat of spoons sure.Fits in well then at the club.
Tom Opacic would be a great signing. Competes and is a great defensive centre, tough as nails would fit into our backline a treat.I reckon you'd be able to get Isaiah Tass and Tom Opacic at something similar.
