I've never been a fan but it wasn't that long ago half the forum rated him our clubs best player. If the rest of the side can learn to work to stop leaving our edges so short so often I think he still could do a job in the centres, even if he remains a weakness in the defensive line.He is not a centre. He isn't a back anymore. I think he passed the ball about 3 times all season in NRL. If he wants to purely run the ball then he moves to back row, and has to prove he can make 100m +30 tackles every week. Starting in Cup, if he performs consistently well in the back row in cup then he can get gametime on the bench in NRL.
If he plays in the backs then our season is over and our squad depth is atrocious.
Broncos i am hearing, the funny thing is they are getting Stephanie and releasing Welch, give me Welch any day of the week, at least he has a ticker!!!Fox reported Storm may have to release Christian Welch for 2025 due to salary cap. Could be a nice experienced pick up
Lol - just banter apparently...Is To’o still a genuine chance of signing with Tigers?
Ticker is important when body is slow, tired and old. For Stefano, its the opposite. Heart can fix body you can't.Broncos i am hearing, the funny thing is they are getting Stephanie and releasing Welch, give me Welch any day of the week, at least he has a ticker!!!
It's where he belongs. No better than the centres we all want moved on from our side.Ok he must like playing NSW Cup good luck to him.
Another of a few with hamstring issues. Need better physio, strength and conditioning staff. No more jobs for the boys.Another player that has been a waste of money this year is
Starford Toa played 3 games.
Yeah initially I noticed his missed tackles are low but that’s bcoz he doesn’t get near them to count as a missed tackle.Faataape is not alright in defence, his reads are diabolical, he is a reserve grader
Look i think there’s definitely a player there but in our current set up and defensive structure, he sticks out which is a tough thing to doYeah initially I noticed his missed tackles are low but that’s bcoz he doesn’t get near them to count as a missed tackle.
He is doobie-ish.
Bird walks into his spot and is better in every facet of the gameFor all the criticism of Bateman we were a much better defensive side with him starting then when he was out.
With him we averaged 28 points against including 5 games against the top 4 teams while without him we averaged 33 points against without playing a top 4 side
I do think that we are a better side with him then without him. I doubt he comes back but I hope we get a good replacement because we don't have one yet
He has more ticka than Doobie, but reggies, NRL cover, and not in the top 30 is where he is at, and where we need him to stay. If he magically gets both his A, and especially his D game, better over the next season, then we can talk top 30 for 26.Look i think there’s definitely a player there but in our current set up and defensive structure, he sticks out which is a tough thing to do
The mistake of signing a bloke from a handful of matches. Sign him because he will go well for the next 2 seasons, not because of Spoonbowl.Maybe we take a close look at Campbell-Gilliard now. He put the cleaners through us on Friday.
I dont know how you can say he's a lazy player, he battled back from 3 ACLs and is still a fit and strong performer. He's had 5 years to improve it, and shown zero inclination to do so. He's a lazy player with a bad attitude, should be out the door but was yet another reckless re-signing on a roster spot we didn't have free.
And I know who was better in those 75 games, and it wasn’t our former propanyone else suprised jack played 73 games for st george since 2021 ?
stefano played 75 for the tigers in the same period
