Okay, name one that's available and not over the hill?
I'd say his defensive stats are in the spectacular range. Too many people on here forget about that defence is where we lack most when bagging Klemmer and Twal. I agree we're paying too much for Klemmer, that's unfortunate, but he's been our best defender
My point- the narrative is that Klemmer is no good, but Pole is going to be great. My opinion is- Klemmer is great at certain things & the much less critisised player in Pole has massive flaws in his game.Perhaps you can explain what the point is comparing season stats and total meters of a starting player to a bench player?
What are you generally trying to prove BTW? That our former international player and one of the highest paid players is better than a guy that started the season as a fringe first grade player … earning a comparative pittance ?
I’m sure you are smart enough to work out that there is an opportunity cost of overpaying players that don’t perform to their paypacket
Pole based on age.
But it's a moot point as they're both on contract. Fact is Both are vitally important next year.
And based on performance, I'm happy if Klemmer does the same job as this year, whereas Pole needs to keep improving as he's not great in defence

The wage is something I've never brought up. Because, as far as I'm concerned- if we can fit all the players in, it doesn't matter. I'm not paying his wages.
I've never said Klemmer is better. I have said Klemmer is underappreciated.
For whatever reason- people want to get rid of him for....I don't know- Johannssen maybe? Because he'll be better because he's cheaper? Go check out how many missed tackles he has in KOE. It's not pretty.
The bigger question is, when he eventually gets sacked and has to take a massive pay cut, do we throw our hat in the ring?
This will be controversial to some, but I'd take him. Coke habit and all.
What is the point of that argument? Has anybody suggested getting rid of Pole? You're twisting a point to make...what? An example of me for saying Klemmer isn't a wasted player? Can I ask who you would prefer to keep next year … Pole v klemmer.. assuming you could only keep 1?
Depends. Who do you replace him with?I got a funny feeling that opinions would change quickly if Klemmer was to be moved on … like what happened with Bateman … 2 weeks before he got sent over to the UK people were gagging over him still
Depends. Who do you replace him with?
I don't think the club has replaced Bateman at all yet. I'd still rather Bird in the centres. I don't think he has the ability to defend like Bateman on a consistant basis.
Pole's re-signing & Klemmer's wage are not directly related. There is plenty of cap room to do both.Ok.
Pole has not yet re- signed for 2026 and could be released in the offseason like Blore was if he signs elsewhere
So, don't replace Klemmer until they have someone better to replace him? I can agree with that.I have argued this all season … people get released first and thoughts of who will replace then come later … refer Ice back whenever the hell he got released .. I was pretty much one out with saying that could have been a bad idea … he hasn’t been replaced months later still
I was making that comparison to see who he values more moving forwardPole's re-signing & Klemmer's wage are not directly related. There is plenty of cap room to do both.

They are at opposite ends of their careers. Obviously in a one-or-the-other argument, you take Pole.I was making that comparison to see who he values more moving forward
Why are we talking about Klemmer and not Pole?
If Addo-Carr becomes available, and we haven't brought in Montoya, it would seem foolish to not look at adding him.The bigger question is, when he eventually gets sacked and has to take a massive pay cut, do we throw our hat in the ring?
