I don’t buy the can’t keep them all argument. These are the players you move heaven and earth to keep, especially when they’re under long contracts.

A development club shouldn’t lose their best junior.

It is hard to fathom that we would just release him to a rival because he wants to play 5/8. He is 17 & we’ve invested a lot into him this season.

I can only think there is more to it. Has to be. Richo is too smart for that surely. Maybe Manly has agreed to take Bateman & Naden as well at full freight.

Actually yes. Cleary wanted financial compensation for all the players they’ve brought along that ended up somewhere else.

We did pretty good with landing the Fainu lads from Manly. Samuela is a beast.

Why do people think that Richo has made all these moves , but the club hasn’t announced them yet… what are they waiting for? The season is over….

You would think that richo being one of the best admins wouldnt have released large unless he's 99% sure... otherwise you'd keep large for another year for sure.

and you would think richo wouldve gone to isaac moses or galvin family and say what are your intentions because we dont want to lose onitoni if you arent staying

Yes funny , the seasons nearly over and we are still waiting for some more forwards signing, and if true we released are best young talent then the club has not learnt anything

Good clubs sign their youngsters to long term contracts, let them develop and bring them through when others leave which helps balance the salary cap.

We let the blokes coming through go, lose the good first graders we have and then are forced to blood kids that aren’t ready.

The good ones then move on and we end up with a roster made up of those that don’t develop and deadwood.
