That’s about how long it took Richo to enjoy a GF victory at Souths.
Souths are a much more streamlined operation with lines of communication that makes sense. His time at Penrith was brief, and included a GF victory the following year. Could that be us? A GF win in 2025? Previous to Penrith was HullFC which was a similar result at Sharks.
I remember being over the moon in 2005, and the euphoria stayed regardless of everyone telling me it was a fluke, the planets lined up for the first time in a century. In hindsight they were right, it took another 5 years until we got back into the finals.
We raved about how good Benji was, so we sacked the guy who brought him to the club.
We now rave about the skill of Galvin, so we sack the guy (same guy) who signed him to the club.
This is what we’re up against.
We’re powerless to stop the club‘s self destruction.
 
Happiness is not a product. First thing. And second thing Bellamy turned us down.. its not like the door was shut. Richo? I dont get thst. Just was saying Melbourne supporters by and large are happier than Wests Tigets supporters generally. Tucker - can we please get some stats on this or Tiger One. Or a Juno Curve.

When my daughter was in Kindi, she game home the day before the athletics carnival and said her teacher told her that it is just for fun and it doesn't matter how you do. My wife and I both simultaneously told her but it is much more fun if you win. She has lived that everyday since.

No I was a 36 year Wests Magpies supporter (until joint-venture) who spent years watching them play at both Pratten Park and Lidcombe Oval. I was devastated when the then NSWRL governing body removed them and Newtown from the competition in 1983 only to be reinstated after the Pies took them to court. I was very pleased when Balmain accepted the Magpies as a joint-venture partner in 1999 as I believed both clubs were a great fit. In my opinion both Balmain and Wests were correct in rejecting Parramatta and Canterbury as partners. Sadly I now believe joint-ventures don't work and would love to see both clubs once again stand alone (though financially Balmain would struggle). I understand how life is tough and we need to accept change but the current Wests Tigers set-up just doesn't work (IMO). I would love nothing more than be proved wrong and eat humble pie but if the club continues to exist then they need to pour a lot of their funds into Juniors from the Campbelltown region.

Failure in 2025 (any position below 15th IMO) then time to consider relocations. Tigers to support Brisbane Tigers and Magpies to be the 2nd team in Melbourne and to be known as Melbourne Magpies. Balmain and Wests Magpies to enter teams in the NSW Cup. Can you imagine the Melbourne Magpies with the support of the Collingwood Magpie Army (their crowds would be enormous).Please note the above is based on further failure in 2025. Wests Magpie supporters in Sydney would still get to see them playing live against Bulldogs, Dragons, Panthers, Rabbits Raiders, Roosters, Eels, Sharks. The joint-venture is not working.

Or if you don't want to support anymore you could stop supporting. The Wests Tigers are my team and I have no time for anyone arguing for them to not be around.

Don't you sometimes get the feeling it's happening all over again, this time to us? Politis achieved, then failed in his mission to oust Souths and take over the whole district. He'd love to take over the inner west as part of the "Sydney" Roosters. Parra would love to encompass Ryde, Dundas etc., the dogs Campbelltown. They've all tried it on at different stages. It just seems a bit hotter now and every journo and commentator seems to be in on it as well.

That’s a great idea!!! We get the Who Wants To Be a millionaire guy to run it. Jerseys are already done we just need to add sleeves. Always cold in Melb so scarf sales will rocket.

Only issue is coach. We need a true storm legend to grab the fence sitting Mexicans PLUS a tigers legend to connect rusted on fans like us.
