Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Yea I agree 100%. Panthers would of course take a player like Staines for depth & have already signed plenty of other tigers players for it in past. My point was if you think a trade with him & To’o is realistic you are delusional IMO. Next thing we will here Leota for Klemmer needs to be done… 😂
Funny, that's literally exactly what I was saying.

And you see, amateur, I never once mentioned a 'trade'.

I was referring to offering those two to the Panthers if they're already staring down the barrel of losing To'o. In order to secure a release, players or money are often floated, particularly if clubs want to benefit from the deal.

That happens all the time. It's a deal sweetener. Exactly the same as negotiating a transfer fee or offering to pay some freight.

What you, mistakenly assumed, is that I meant a straight player swap, of which only one has ever been done, is that between Grant and Momirovski.

Sit down.

What a loss to the Wests Tigers community. He was my idol at one stage. That flick pass to Neil Pringle inspired my football career (not that it came to much). Rest in Peace Brian, you were a great player and an inspiration to at least one young footballer.
yeah, he was a great ball player. Would never have run more than 50m a game, mind you. But he could move a ball around. Then a new coach took over and dropped him to reserve grade because of his defence!

I never thought Garner was a bad player like you must have so that’s not a great example IMO. Panthers already have Ipap, Garner, Sorensen & Martin as first grade back rowers not sure why they would need another, that’s a borderline stupid suggestion… As for Staines, well there’s a reason everyone on here is excited to see Skelton & Turuva come.
IPap to play in the middle for Panthers? Sort of a replacement for JFH.

I remember Neil Pringle chasing down John Gibbs at Beookvake Oval - Gibbs had a sizeable head start and Pringle descended from the clouds to smash him oval the sideline an inch from the try line!!! With his NEVER SAY DIE attitude
It's a shame he was playing at the same time as recently named immortal, Ron Coote. Pringle wouldn't have looked out of place in a Green and Gold jersey.

Big Jolls the ball playing prop?
It was a sweet pass and play, I’ve watched it a few times. He now has posthumous fans. RIP our Tiger Bro.

Penrith just signed Papalii
Storm just signed Stef
Cronulla won a comp after signing Lewis and Graham
Brisbane bought Capewell

You need to fill your holes with good recruitment and obviously retention is also key. Our pack has holes and the kids aren’t ready.
So in the last 10 years they bought one each.

I wouldn’t think of moving Carrigan, but Madge has done a heap of things I wouldn’t have done
The other option is Kobe moves into the front row rotation and Pat stays at lock.
Carrigan is a beast of a player but not a known enforcer. Could he have more impact playing less minutes or would it be a null point.
Madge likes an agressive pack; that’s all I’m saying.

Does the author of this article really think Hunt is still an exciting signing, would imagine Sam Walker or someone else would be bigger news. I guess Hunt news sells papers...
