Does the author of this article really think Hunt is still an exciting signing, would imagine Sam Walker or someone else would be bigger news. I guess Hunt news sells papers...

Nelson leaving Storm based off his instagram post, wasn’t there a rumour a while back of tigers involved with him?
Not sure about Nelson since the NRL just announced they are going to enforce a play the ball tighter. He is the biggest offender of tunnel ball play the balls in the comp.

Oh and put a screen shot up. Though reading this as something has just popped up tonight? Is that the case?
Screenshot isn’t working but it’s 6 slide instagram post, song “NIGHTS LIKE THIS” - kid laroi with the caption

Could mean chapter as in 2024 season or time at storm

Seen it. Could be as you said but the gf was a week ago, he knew he was suspended almost 2 weeks ago.
Why post now?
He is a cryptic bloke that Nelson.
Seen some comments on the page about heading home. And Famunoa Brown with a 🤞 emoji.

you know what I'm getting at, the better clubs don't buy established stars, they recruit potential and develop it.
That’s because they already have an established senior group, and they only have to fill a few select holes.

We’re coming from a position where our senior playing group is below par, so we need to simultaneously bring in kids and established players to mentor them.

We've imported Api, a premiership winner, Ice, second rower of the year, Klemmer, Origin and Kangaroo rep, Bateman, English international, what more do you want?

Were some of those players those things when we recruited them though? Really?

And, the ‘better clubs’ as you pointed out are stacked with more than just four name players. The top four are fielding 8-10 genuine elite players.

Recruitment improved with the addition of Api & Ice, but the extended squad they joined just wasn’t up to first grade standard.

Well there’s posts of him in uniform and post-game photos so I feel like it isn’t about it the GF but who knows

They're fielding 8-10 elite players that they developed, not bought. And those elite players weren't elite in their rookie season. It's impossible to buy a comp unless you're the Roosters. We have enough raw talent that, with the addition of an influence like Luai, we should be reasonably competitive. It's up to the coaching staff now.
We're never going to win the comp. No team other than Penrith, Storm, Roosters or Broncos will be premiers while the current NRL hierarchy are in place. But as long as we play good, entertaining footy during the season and string a few wins together, I'll be happy.

Yeah we’re in agreement on that. 8-10 wins next year would be a positive step forward. I think we need a couple more hardened first graders in the forwards to push any higher.

Hopefully that’s what the current wait is all about.

I’d still be sending a task force up to Brisbane to flip Kobe. He’s not marquee but in the zone.

Need some Richo fast talking, promise him the world and worry about delivering later. He seems pretty wholesome and innocent. Should be easy meat for Shane then.
