Yep understand that - he has talent. He should not be taking a Top 30 spot in 2025 though. Very poor.

Apparently we are in talks with a PNG Hunter player and another from the FIJI rep side. In regards to Leo Thompson, we were in talks with his manager, but Leo himself turned us down immediately, he never even came to view our Training Centre .. :-(

Yes, that’s the point. No one ever said he couldn’t play first grade.

In a team of quality Aussie players, he came on and shone as much as anyone, Kayo Weakes also stood out. Their pace against a tiring PNG was too much to handle. PNG scored 20 points and gave a decent account of themselves.

I don’t think he’s a star, pushing back against those who told me plenty of times he’s not a first grade footballer.

Brooks looked ok when he came on against a Kumuls team already burnt out.
As a comparison Liddle did too.
Nothing to skite about from his fans.

I think the point being made is Galvin should have never ever been selected in that rep side ahead of Brooks at 5/8.
Brooks earned his call up through a great year with Manly. When he got on the field, he showed he belonged at that level.
Lachie looked slow, lethargic, confused….way way out of his depth.
I wish they’d leave this kid alone to develop properly.

Wow, goes to show how far we have fallen as a destination club. A bit shocked given Leo and Benji are both New Zealanders. Thought that may have been a pulling card for us.

Due to our lowly standing in the NRL we are always forced to go left field with our recruitment and hope to find a diamond among a field of rocks. We badly need two experienced hard forwards who will tackle all day. No more work in progress players please
