Ok after reading the below I doubt Buzz was raving on about Sandon.
“Roosters rookie Sandon Smith has reportedly been charged with a serious driving offence following an incident in which a person was gravely injured.
Smith is set to face the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday to face charge of negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm over an incident in Bondi Junction on March 13, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The report states that police will allege 21-year-old Smith was edging out of his driveway, where his view was obstructed by a parked truck, when another car hit him, and pushed him into a male pedestrian.”

It all seemed like an accident to me hearing more details.
Sounded worse yesterday and the charge imo seems excessive
I think the point everyone is missing is that the incident occured in March 13 this past season. He played about 15 games this year after that. If it was as serious as the media have immediately made it out to be he would not of played

I read he shattered both ankles of the pedestrian and he was up for some extensive rehab. 🤷♂️
Sounded gruesome. I’ve had a lot of injuries not really the ankles, (touch wood).

And was driving and had a crash head on , not sure who’s fault but these jerks need to be suspended for 6 months , drugs are Rife in the nrl and they turn a blind eye to it , random testing needs to be put in place with no heads up to clubs when they are going to turn up , the nrl needs to look at this big time

If he was on drugs, got behind the wheel, crashed in to a car , then the nrl should come down hard with a ban. What a loser.

They must believe he is provably the at-fault party if he's actually facing criminal charges.

Interestingly, Spencer Leniu got 8 weeks for calling Mam a name on the field.
Mam has now been arrested for causing a crash under the influence.

I’ve brought this up a few times, but 20 years ago Field and McGuinness copped 6 month bans for getting on the nose beers and Bryan Fletcher only got stripped of the Captaincy for calling Dean Widders a black see you next Tuesday. No suspension. Times have changed.
