Unfortunately over the past few years Australia's bowlers have a really bad habit of losing the plot when there's only a few wickets left to take and start bowling short pitched erratic rubbish.

Anyway, GO NZ! There's more rain around/predicted and with a new ball the target of 107 won't be a walk in the park.

Starc looks almost unplayable fast swinging beating the bat many times
His 10 overs 1-17 with Marcus Harris his victim for 26 .
Happy Starc looks in form
Konstas and Harris both in this game so far Harris has failed Konstas yet to bat

NSW chose to field first and it’s 2/100 so they probably would’ve wanted a couple more wickets.
 
Strange week for Test Cricket results
Pakistan beat England & NZ beat India
In the NZ win it seems India winning toss and deciding to bat was a terrible decision
In the days prior Bangalore had a lot of rain and wicket was soft and damp early on but after a bit of sun it settled down .
Credit to NZ though as when they got 2nd new ball with India 3-408 they again skittled them taking the last 7 wickets for 54 runs and of course crashing to 46 all out in the 1st innings made it an impossible task
NZ bowled better especially O'Rourke and Ravindra is a star
Only 3 Indians could hold their heads up Sarfaraz ,Pant and Bumrah
However India and Australia are both well clear on WTC points
We would be top if we didn't have 10 points deducted for slow over rates
Seems we can lock in another WTC final at Lords in 2025 with a reasonable performance in the Border /Gavaskar trophy which should be our main goal anyway
If our big 3 quicks and Lyon are fit and firing im confident of a big series win !
 
To win a world cup you have to nail the key moments
NZ women win the T20 world cup easily beating South Africa who had a comfortable win over Australia but hang on ?
Australia totally smashed NZ by 60 runs ! Bowling them out for 88 .
Go figure ?
Personally I think their are too many T20 world cups being at least every 2 years
Make it every 4 years like the " better white ball " ODI 50 over game !
 
Just my opinion but I think all this FRANCHISE cricket with 20 overs and 10 overs and 100 balls etc will damage real cricket
Teams are a mix of players from anywhere in the world and as such don't really represent anything in particular .
However Money talks ! and B.S.wslks

I think we have seen Test cricket in it's current form peak unfortunately.

Games between Australia, England and India will always be full of class and entertaining, but slowly we will see less of the top line talent playing for the likes of South Africa, NZ, Sri Lanka etc.

Tbh I think T20 should only be franchise. BBL brings money for state cricketers. Same with county cricket where it started.
T20 internationals is just greed. No need.

Sort of agree
I love test cricket
I love 50 over cricket ( especially winning our 6th World Cup last November )
Don't really care who wins the IP.L or BBL but understand our elite players like getting very big pay days setting up their future .
Fact is the longer the format the more likely the best team wins and
In very short formats anyone can win as you just need a good hour or two !
 
Starc just got Harris for 2nd time out for 16
Vic 2nd dig 4-32 and Starc 3-18
All the opening bat candidates have failed in the 2nd Shield round
So far through one and a half Shield games
Bancroft 3 fails
Harris 1 ton followed by 3 low scores
Renshaw just fails
Kwajaja one innings one fail
Konstas 2 tons followed by one fail ( commentators thought he might have been unlucky with ball possibly going down missing leg )
Does not appear there is any DRS in Shield
So far everyone failing
One piece of good news is Starc seems is red hot form and Lyon got 8 wickets in first Shield match

No 'might' about it. Absolute stinker of a decision.

Maybe just glancing the outside edge of an imaginary fourth stump. And no reviews so he had to go.
