All these rumours stem from that omission on the social media post…

If this is the reason he is being let go … then they have got it completely wrong …

He is at best a fringe NRL player next season .. but the following year is when he might really start to produce …

Gut feel with this one is that its accurate, for the reasons I said above. Agree it would be a bad call, even if there is more to the story. Young guy with an enormous ceiling, mates with the other young guys. Plenty of other players can be made an example of.

Still he will be an international player. The club can't prevent uninjured Australians from being called up so why should it happen to a player who wishes to represent another country ?

Because they pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars to contribute to WT first grade team.

I don't think he gets hundreds of thousands of dollars yet - still they haven't restricted the rights of any other player to play for their country. Bateman is and they won't be able to release him so why do it for Miller ?

This could be just a rubbish rumour, but there is a lot of smoke around it and there has been silence from the club.

I know Miller is only young but I don't see a future where you can run with both Royce Hunt and Miller in the same 17.

I rate Miller and if he does the work, he could be anything but he hasn't really changed his body shape much IMO since he was 18.

I doubt playing International footy will be seen as a valid reason to have your contract canceled .. hope Richo is at least smart enough to work that out

You must of missed my point. If the club said we need you in the gym for 6 months to get NRL ready and he said no, that’s different.

A few other considerations is that he is managed by Mario Tartak who I doubt would have advised him to play for Fiji if the club said no.

And maybe just maybe if this rumour is true, this is one of a few things that would have caused a release. Benji would know his training ethic & attitude now so maybe that played a factor.

Not hundreds of thousands - for a player who is a local junior and who has only played 30 minutes of first grade and has reasonable prospects of an average career (which is currently about 75 games) in the NRL. Every club has hyped up juniors until they don't realise the supposed potential. Maybe 150K - and Bateman is on 4 times as much and they didn't stop him from playing.

I doubt he’s meeting all the physical testing requirements of an NRL forward and the club could probably use that in their favour. Only speculation.
