Don't know Bula ever gets to the level of a fully fit Papenhuyzen....

If, and it's a big if, he did come to us for 26, he would only be 27 years old... Still plenty of footy left In him at that age, and let's face it, he would run rings around bula as a fullback...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Papenhuyzen was at a Sydney club for next season (2025). I believe his mother is sick with cancer so he may want to come to Sydney to be closer to her.

I am confident we will have forward pack reinforcements for 2025. Richo knows what a club needs to climb the ladder.

With 13 (I think?) off contract in 2026, that's where serious recruitment smarts are required to set us up for the next 5 years and I am sure Richo and Benj will deliver.

Kick sand in people's faces. He was serviceable in a talented team. But look at his performance in big games like the final and emotionallly big against us at Leichhardt. Brooks went to water, dropped balls, kicks out on the full, poor defensive reads. He wasn't any better this year than last. He just got carried by DCE and Turbo

Untrue. They all tried to recruit other halves unsuccessfully due to the rabble of a club they were working for.

maybe not; Sheens was trying to bring Moses back at $1.1M a year to play 7, and in the process of failure, has probably stifled Parra's salary cap for years to come.

When most people that said there is no quality available, they were talking about next year.

Very rare that teams release players they wanted to keep early from their contract. This is almost exclusively a Wests Tigers thing.

Clubs are releasing players early all the time. By definition, an early release means you don't want to keep the player any longer under the existing circumstances, whether that means you want them gone, or you would rather keep them but they want to leave / have signed with someone else.

Even just these past few weeks Warriors have released Montoya early to Bulldogs and Titans released Erin Clark early to Warriors. Warriors obviously released AFB 2 years early to take up his Sharks deal. Eels are releasing Gutherson and Sivo early; Royce Hunt was granted an early release to join the Tigers. Dragons are probably about to release Ben Hunt.

Years back Penrith released a significant number of good players early - Blake Austin, RCG, Wade Graham. Pretty sure Tigers picked up Blore and Daine Laurie on an early release.

Don't tell me all of those clubs mentioned 100% wanted to be rid of all those players, no interest at all to keep them on.
