Wow, only 2 years. Would have thought a minimum 3 given his age and standing in the squad.
RP, He still has 1 year with us so all up would be 3

My personal impression was that the guy we signed was underwhelming! Took the outside option too often and was put into touch, a number of poor defensive reads as per Nofo. However he did clean up the other side of the field on two occasions. Rugby will be disappointed in losing the number 8 & 15 but overjoyed in keeping the nine and 10.Yeh brother, Lemoto is another beast.
Big coupla wins for League in that signing spree, especially us with Masi.
Prob just trying to buy some breathing space so they know what the cap will look like in 12 - 18 months then offer a long term deal.Wow, only 2 years. Would have thought a minimum 3 given his age and standing in the squad.
The reason a whole heap of players end up re-signing with their current clubsIt makes Tigers offer more competitive because opposition clubs can only offer his $$$ for 26 & 27 whereas Tigers can upgrade his 25 money into the overall package and therefore offer more than opposition clubs can (who cant impact his 25 money)
Very good point that 90% of the football management experts on here fail to understand. It makes Tigers offer more competitive because opposition clubs can only offer his $$$ for 26 & 27 whereas Tigers can upgrade his 25 money into the overall package and therefore offer more than opposition clubs can (who cant impact his 25 money)
Same goes with Galvin. He could sign a 2 year extension and upgraded contract, getting him a few million dollars, or he can stay on a paltry amount for a couple more years.Very good point that 90% of the football management experts on here fail to understand.
Hopefully at least a mutual option for a 3rd year
That would be amazing, Sam Fainu 2. Aussie schoolboy prop/back rower. Along with Lemoto, Halangahu and Tonga are 3 of the top forwards in their age group.Heard a lil rumour we'll be getting Simione Laifai in place of Large... basically a swap deal.

Where did you hear this?
But signed an extension with them earlier in the year, development contract next season and NRL in 2026. We don't currently have nay dev spots free, unless we offload someone (which we should be aiming for)

Except we don’t have the Dev spot available that Large would of been occupying; so not exactly a swap deal.Heard a lil rumour we'll be getting Simione Laifai in place of Large... basically a swap deal.
What’s the age of this fella? Any football played with Fainu’s? Connection there? That would be amazing, Sam Fainu 2. Aussie schoolboy prop/back rower. Along with Lemoto, Halangahu and Tonga are 3 of the top forwards in their age group.

Pole is bench impact same as Spencer LeniuI think Pole has great potential but let's be clear he is a bench prop for the 3x wooden spooners
See all of the posts after your response explaining the benefits of why this is done.So it sounds like they’ve presented this as a contact of which to balance his value agaisnt in the open market. Great job tigers! 🤦🏻
He's a 2024 Aussie schoolboy, so 18. Played Ball and Flegg this year. What’s the age of this fella? Any football played with Fainu’s? Connection there?
Makes sense in a way. Manly are building a premiership window squad and just don’t have the time and space for talent to grow and develop.
Hence resigning Paseka / Ollakoato to large, long deals.
They’re in the now we’re in the future.
He's a big unit. Very big.Heard a lil rumour we'll be getting Simione Laifai in place of Large... basically a swap deal.
Been that way for a while... “Always next year“What’s the age of this fella? Any football played with Fainu’s? Connection there?

He's a big unit amongst kids under 20's .. here's hoping he can bring that aggression against men of similar or larger size .. ?? If the swamp comes through he'll be a handy addition to our forward pack.
