Just going off what he's said previously. If he has the chance now & there are options in SE Qld, I'm sure they would be his preference. Why would Hunt want to return to SE Qld? He can do that when he's retired.
I'm certain the only thing on his mind is trying to win a premiership before he retires. That's why i reckon the Rooster for 12 months makes sense, though a Hunt and Townsend halves combo will be talented but slow. Their young half may get some time too.
For the Broncs if Mam is stood down pending his case, then they can use his cap space.
Let's say Hunt's criteria is: Team capable of winning a premiership in the next 2 years, playing in the halves and moving back to QLD. His options are pretty narrow. Really only leaves Brisbane pending on what happens with Ezra Mam. If he drops the QLD preference it opens up Dogs or Roosters.Hunt will want to return to SE Qld. Most viable are Dolphins & Broncos. There were murmurings a while back Averillo wanted a return to Sydney and for the Broncos the one who could be released to free up cap is Cobbo.
Dolphins are not that far away from being very competitiveLet's say Hunt's criteria is: Team capable of winning a premiership in the next 2 years, playing in the halves and moving back to QLD. If he isn't fussed on the above and will take the biggest pay day, it will be the Dolphins.
Douhei to the dragonsHunt's mutual termination with St George might see a few dominoes fall.
wouldn't surprise me if there's a few clubs that look to move certain players on to try and get him across.
$500k for Tupou? Suddenly I don't feel so bad paying $500k for a back up 7.They don't have much cap space with lots of high contracts already! hammer, herbie, kaufusi, flegler, saifiti finefuiaeki all on 700k-1mil. They're even playing Tupou 500k, and he's unlikely to even be a starter for them. They have Nikorima and Katoa signed up long term too.
But if they were offloading someone they have some good forwards and backs i'd gladly take.
seems as if there's a few clubs that might sniff around AD given their circumstances.Douhei to the dragons
Plath at 13, Finefeuiaki and Kaufusi on the edges, a fit JMK at acting half... they're building very nicely.Dolphins backline next season with Hunt would be impressive:
1. Hammer
2. Bostick
3. Averillo
4. Farnworth
5, Isaako
6. Katoa
7. Hunt
I'm telling you- they are not far away. Flegler & Gilbert back with Saifiti added...
Not even factoring in Kenny Bromwich, Ray Stone, Connelly Lemuelu, Josh Kerr, Mark Nicholls, Junior Tupou, Sean O'Sullivan, Trai Fuller....I think they are Top 8 next season.Plath at 13, Finefeuiaki and Kaufusi on the edges, a fit JMK at acting half... they're building very nicely.

Fair point. I've probably undersold them. Didn't rate their forward pack as one that can compete but forgot that with Flegler and Gilbert returning they essentially have 3 new forwards. Backs are toplineDolphins backline next season with Hunt would be impressive:

NoQuestion:
Would you sign a 32-year-old Cameron McInnes to play 13 if he was asking for a three year deal?
