Other than the age and line running, you could be talking about John Bateman.Tumeth - 21 yrs, 182cm, 94kg......................but he runs a good line!

The dogs and dragons both shifted a top 30 contract forward a year. What the player was paid the year they were injured I dunno.I remember that happening before but with really
bad injuries/possible retirement it was Cody Ramsay
or Karl Oloapu from the dogs I remember complaining

Bondi Biodi Odo ACL. Was ‘released’ that year. Ended up on a top 30 contract the following year.
Corey Allen. ACL in preseason. Dragons extended him for an additional year but took him out of the top 30 last year whilst he was in rehab.
Our biggest problem is that we suck, and keep losing matches and coming last....Add another problem to the organisation, then try to fix it. Seems like a good approach!
A club that has failed to develop any players of note over the past decade. Galvin is about it, maybe Pole. And we let one of our best young props go when so many others deserve to be paid out before him. We are just horrible judges of talent. Chris is aggressive, a winner, a leader and a good person. Exactly the traits you want in your squad.the boys on the excellent tigers Podcast West tigers Faithful were saying Chris Faagutu has been paid out and a roster spot has opened up...bit of a shame but if we can get either Hetherington or May it would be great.
All money paid to a player is in the cap.so if its not on the cap ,where's the money come from?good to see we opened spots in the squad
More like bad coaching and the inability to inspire players to do better!Talent ID at the club has been awful because staff changes so often, so there has been little strategy in what they’re after. A club like Penrith have been consistent about what they want for a decade - fitness. Canterbury are doing the same now. It’s no surprise that the gun rookie at the Tigers is also the fittest bloke at the club too.
And you don’t appear to understand how pay outs work. The player needs to agree to an early release. Perhaps Faagatu wanted to go, or his manager has something lined up for him unlike the others who could be digging in because they don’t have other options.
And as this is a rumours thread, a rumour is Faagatu and Miller were two of the worst performers in training in a squad with several poor performers. If that’s the case, then they’ll have very short careers in the NRL. Another example of the club blowing its load on a couple of big Polynesian junior players who are found out when everyone else grows up!
Sorry mate, I have no idea but if I was forced to guess I'd say no.I asked about this a while back but no one replied, can a third party payout a player
Maybe Madge had some input and a mutual swap / life line was given to Chris was done.the boys on the excellent tigers Podcast West tigers Faithful were saying Chris Faagutu has been paid out and a roster spot has opened up...bit of a shame but if we can get either Hetherington or May it would be great.
If.... We free up spotsWe will be freeing top 30 spots up by offloading Bateman, Sullivan and Naden.
That will give us 4 top 30 spots to play with, Sione Fainu will take one, another 3 to fill.
Chris Faagutu has never been the biggest bloke on the park even from juniors. So to say he got found out when everyone else grows up is a reach. Especially considering the accolades that Chris has had in schoolboy rugby. Living in Brisbane for a short period of time for work, he was one of the standout players in QLD alongside Keano Kini, Karl Oloapu, Josiah Pahulu. None of these guys are tall but the work rate they had was second to none. It makes you wonder if the club had anything to do with him going backwards as opposed to the others mentioned as the others have gone on to debut while Chris was still down the pecking order hereTalent ID at the club has been awful because staff changes so often, so there has been little strategy in what they’re after. Good ideaCan you pay out a top 30 contract then re-sign them to a development or reserve grade contract for the same season??
If I was a third party sponsor and I knew that they needed to clear a few spots in the top 30 I'd have no problem paying players out for the club as BP says it's benefiting the club.If it helps the club better themselves what’s the difference, I just thought I would throw it out there
