Sione is yet to be officially resigned.
Without inclusion of Fa’agutu on this, I'd say that's a pretty strong clue he might've been the first moved on.
I hope not. I've got huge wraps on him.
Hope I'm wrong.
To be fair though , he’s from qld , and as we saw tragically with Fotuaika , the isolation of being away from home , combined with the grind of progressing through the ranks and development , can wear on players .
It’s not to say he won’t / can’t develop here or anything , but yea , it’s no surprise to me that a lot of players who move form the country or qld down to Sydney , struggle with the day to day life of the grind . Especially if they arnt developing as quickly as they’d hoped .
Miller ? Well yea… after his tantrums on the sideline last year about being benched , his generally lazy approach to training , and I’m assuming the “late to training “ cop out/ excuse , probably will mean he’s playing for manly sooner or later . Paseka and Suli had the same tags on them , and both took a long time , comparative to the wraps on them , to cement first grade spots . You’d love them both in 2024 version though right now .
Paseka , whilst a very good first grader , had Payne Hass level wraps , and Suli was also the next great centre. .As good as both of them are , it’s hard to not look at thier careers so far and lament what could have been . I feel this is the path of miller , only he’s even lazier than both those guys . In the nrl it’s about fitness ! Fitness ! Fitness ! .
