Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

How so ?
Neither of them is overly big or fast.
Neither of them carry the ball aggressively enough to steamroll opposing defenders.
Neither of them demonstrate much footwork.
Neither of them hit hard in defence.
However both are very hard workers who you can rely on to make their metres, make their tackles and do the hard work that often goes unnoticed.
I suggest you take a look at his profile on the Rooster site and compare... especially the post contact metres.
PS I'm a fan of Twal.

It's either that or get a job concreting.

Time for these types to wake up to themselves.
To do what - follow your advice on how they should lead his life ? Rugby league is only a game and not a very important one in the scheme of things. If he wants to play football or doesn't want to play football is his choice and I guess he doesn't get to comment on your life choices.

That’s true, but once we give him a multi year contract he becomes our problem along with Bateman, Naden, Sullivan etc.

Don’t know either of the guys personally but Hetherington seems to have less talent but more of the effort type player we’re after.

Nothing in the world worse than wasted talent...

Got a great opportunity to set himself up for life, get paid well to play a sport. A lot harder ways to make money.

You're right though.
It's his life.
All the best to him.

Effort should be our number one criteria when recruiting or elevating juiors.
If you dont bust your arse and keep getting up and back in line, you are no good to us.

Surely he knows how that feels?
He blew his shot at Panthers, Knocked it back in Ressies with us and finally made
something of it at Roosters.

I think his papers were marked when he fronted the Press in the Finals and was a bit
maybe / maybe not about playing Footy.

In Taylans Q&A he went into detail how they come from poverty, living in housing commission, etc etc.... and this is how he plans to take care of his family through his career.

Now he's stood down, contract torn up, facing court.

Life changing chance for these lads.
If they don't want it, there's many others who do.

With Luai, Turuva and Koroisau we must have a good chance to recruit him but also for him to realise his potential.
