But what’s the point of being negative though ? Honestly if you’re that miserable why even invest time into the club , the forum etc. the coach isn’t getting fired , so even if you’re right , you’re massively on a hiding to nothing . It’s masochistic . I guess we’re all masochists to support this club , but man , it must be absolute torture to support this club with the contempt you seem to have for the club at the moment .
I guess most of us try and be optimistic because honestly for me personally , if I couldn’t be optimistic , then supporting this club would not be worth it .

What ? You’re missing my point .
Do you not sit back and ask yourself “is supporting this club worth what it does to my head ? “
Why invest time and effort into something that gives you nothing in return.
For me the return is the optimism that things will turn around , because ultimately , as much as i contribute in here , I’ve got zero control over anything that the club does .
If you’re that contemptuous , how is the juice worth the squeeze ?
I’m not judging , I just fully understand the torture this club does to my head during the season, and I’m optimistic , I can’t only imagine how for people like you it must feel like 24/7 waterboarding to follow this team .

Pretty much basket case for 9-10 years there. The same or slightly above our form.
Don’t hear much about it though, funnily enough!

They came to a grand final and lost to a very strong souths team. Natually to do that they blew their cap. BIG!

Yet the dogs were training hard and tough. We seemed to rely on junior talent and our training from what I see was nowhere near theirs.

If a player was on $250k wage and hit form, they’d agitate for a release mid contract.
Yet the ones who know they got lucky to be paid overs are digging their heels.

Nothing indicates it is a Tigers player. More than likely one of the other 16 teams in the comp.

Olam's double knee surgery should see him back fit once he finishes all the rehab protocols.

I am keen to see Olam back out there, as I can see him striking up a killer combination with Luai.

My only hope is Luai can pull something out of his ring and get May here,
I'm not confident though.

As it stands,
We're happy to pay 1 million + out of our cap to have players playing for other teams.
With the overpaid / underperforming Players we're keeping, The kids taking up spots that aren't worth much
we just aren't going to have the coin for top class recruits.

Paying half a dozen Players to play for other clubs - Stinks of an impending
'Excuse' for us to keep being garbage to me....

We go through this each and every year as fans and supporters. Always trying to look at the glass half empty. Despite our positive attitude, the playing group always manages to dish up the same trash. Without fail.

To make it worse, none of us will walk away despite the anxiety, struggle and cheap laughs others have for us supporting this club.

Everyone is to blame, even the mentaly fragile kids.
Our coaching staff screwed this season well and truly.
THEY need some serious soul searching over the pre season before they blow another.

I think the buck stops when you get selected to wear that jersey.

I’m not saying you are right or wrong but imo, players at the pointy end of their careers keep their mouth shut as they won’t get long term retirement contracts
For that reason, I don’t think it’s DK

I get Benji's backing of the young guns, because as he so often mentions he had the same treatment that worked for him under Sheens.

I am not a Bateman fan at all and want him gone ASAP, but he does seem to neglect and or not understand how vital the senior players are. Sure the young ones need confidence, but they don't need to be coddled. The senior players deserve respect, and if he really dropped Bateman for the next week in the sheds after the Rabbitohs game - that's a bit silly.

After 3 years with us, Jimmy Ngutlik now on a T&T with the Cowboys/Mackay Cutters, according to Courier Mail.

Ngutlik burst onto the international stage in 2022 playing for Papua New Guinea at the Rugby League World Cup before a knee injury stalled his career.

The talented winger has joined the Mackay Cutters after coming up from Wests Tigers where he failed to crack first grade.

The 24-year-old was born in PNG and grew up in Cairns.

I wish him luck and hope he does well in the near future.

The injury he sustained was very unfortunate and stalled what I thought might have been a promising career, just a shame he never managed to crack an NRL start with us because I thought he was showing some promise prior to his injury.
