He might be one of those guys that just has a personality type the rubs people the wrong way in a competitive setting. Kind of like Hastings. Good player but just gets on the nose with the guys around him.

Ironically it's been reported that Bateman and Hastings have a dislike for each other.
Bateman signing on the premise that Hastings won't be in Tigers colours.

People had a similar mindset in 23 and 24.
With all due respect, I’m not believing anyone saying we can’t win it. Given our current forward pack which is looking likely to get even weaker in 25, and given our coaching staff who are still not good, we are a good bet for 17th.
